To begin, we rented their blue pontoon boat for two days in a row. The first day, the nice deck hand that was working there was a little overwhelmed because his coworkers were still at lunch but still got us all checked in and went over the boat check list. He let us know the gas gauge was off and sent us on our way. We rented for 4 hours and had an amazing time. Unfortunately the deck hand failed to tell us the depth finder didnt work and when we thought we were in 200 feet of water we ended up in about 2 feet, nice and stuck. We eventually got ourselves unstuck and went on our way. When we returned to boat 3 hours later a different deck hand stopped us and told us we damaged the prop and would have to pay $160 to fix it. We were obviously upset because the depth finder didnt work and he agreed it didnt and the deck hand should have told us but failed too. You can understand our anger at this situation but the deck hand said he could do nothing about it and said we could call Pam, who was one of the owners, to dispute the cost but would have to pay anyways. I called Pam after we left and I was so glad I did. She was very nice and professional and agreed that if the depth finder was indeed broken that we would be refunded. She called back that same evening after investigating and said by all means we would be refunded. Our next concern was that we were looking forward to our 6 hour rental the next day and wanted to have a boat to take out, since the prop had to be replaced on the one we took. She said she would put it on top priority to get fixed and only had to push our rental back and hour the next day. They also replaced the depth finder so we had no issues with that! We were so pleased by Pam's professionalism and look forward to returning again next summer and renting with Honey...
Read moreI have been a slip renter at Honey Creek Landing Marina since 2010. The new owners have done a great job of remodeling the Ship Store and the Bath House. They definitely care about customer service and keeping gas prices competitive. Bella Donna's and Danny's Dockside Pizza have also been good additions. It's great to be able to call in an order from the water and have it ready to either take home or eat while watching the sunset from the marina. Surprisingly good Italian food from a pizza place. It's also nice to be able to go into Bella Donna's for a traditional restaurant experience, good food, good service, and the live music has been a...
