Grand Motel — Hotel in Grove

One star is not low enough for this place. The shower did not work, there was only one towel and we slept with the lights on to keep from being carried away by the roaches. If it had not been 11 at night with pouring rain we would have left to find someplace else. DON'T STAY HERE. When we got there we were in room 102. The AC was on high and the thermostat was set on 61 degrees. We brought our stuff in and turned the thermostat to 70 and set it on heat. 45 minutes later when the room started warming up the roaches started coming out. We killed more than a dozen. At that point we turned it back down to 61 and set it to AC again. we bundled up, left the lights on, took everything except the clothes we were going to wear the next day out to the car and went to sleep. While the building itself is dated, the rooms are large and clean, two queen beds, 38 inch flat screen tv, internet access, coffepot with coffee, small microwave and a mini-mini fridge. The bathroom has plenty of towels and washclothes, no shelf space but it does have a hair dryer and is clean. The hotel itself is less than a block away from convenient shopping either at Wal-mart or the local grocery chain, Harps; which is employee owned. Gas stations, restaurants, shopping, nail salon, etc. etc. are all right here. This Motel is one mile from Honey creek State Park, and hey offer company rates as well as onsite boat and mini-storage. This place has been great! I’ve stayed here many times. I saw a comment regarding bed bug.. there are none here so I don’t why that person added it. I’ve never ever had a problem with bed bugs! Great place to stay you have Mazzio’s right across the street but even if you leave to go to any restaurant doesn’t take you long to get to one. It’s a great place to stay and spend your time.
