This is a must do when visiting Great America.
I loved every second of this ride. I thought the drop (in the back row) provided some INSANE airtime (the feeling of floating out of your seat). The turnaround after was pretty forceful and the camelback was pretty fun too. Luckily the trims didn’t hit that hard so we sustained good speed. The drop after the mid course brakes was awesome and also provided some good airtime and the low to the ground turns were pretty forceful.
Next I want to talk about the smoothness of the ride. For a ride manufactured and opened in 1999 this ride is SO SMOOTH. I love how graceful the ride is the whole way through even when your in those Positive G-Force helixes it still very smooth.
Finally I want to talk about the wait time of the ride. Being at a higher tier Six Flags park and being one of the most popular attractions at Great America this ride will have a wait time of around an hour to an hour and 30 minutes most days. This ride is in the back of the park and in the Southwest Territory section of the park. At the beginning of the day and for about and hour after opening this will have a short wait so it’s recommended to get to it early in the day. It...
Read moreRaging Bull is hands down one of the best roller coasters I’ve ever ridden.
From the moment you ascend that massive lift hill, you know you’re in for something special. The first drop is absolutely wild—208 feet straight into a tunnel at over 70 mph. It takes your breath away every single time and sets the tone for a nonstop adrenaline rush.
What makes Raging Bull stand out isn’t just the speed or the height, but how smooth and well-designed the ride is. The turns are tight and fast, the camelback hills give you real airtime, and there are no jolts or uncomfortable moments. It’s long enough to be worth the wait but exciting enough to make you want to ride it again immediately.
I’ve ridden it from the front and the back—both are amazing. The front gives you an open view of the track ahead, while the back gives you the best airtime, especially during the drops. Even though it doesn’t have loops or inversions, it doesn’t need them. The design of this coaster is just that good.
This is a Six Flags Great America must-ride. If you’re visiting the park and looking for the perfect combination of speed, height, and smooth thrills—Raging Bull delivers. 5 stars...
