Heart of Art — Attraction in Hamilton Township

Lisa and I both love Rumi poetry and wanted to find art work that would include one of his poems. We searched the internet looking at sites like Etsy and others but didn't find anything that really resonated with us. So we contacted Heart of Art and spoke to Saima. We learned that Saima was also a big Rumi fan and to our amazement, she happened to be working on a project that incorporated the exact poem we wanted to use.

Keep in mind that we had not given Saima any specs whatsoever. Saima was kind enough to send us some samples that would help us give her the input she needed to create a custom piece of art for us. Looking through the samples, we saw a piece that promised to be exactly what we were looking for. It was in progress, not complete, but even in this early stage, we became excited about it. We decided that rather than providing detailed specs, we were comfortable allowing Saima to finish the piece with her own vision.

One week later, Saima invited us to the Heart of Art studio and she was putting the finishing touches on the piece. While we waited, Yousuf her husband gave us a tour of the studio and sat with us for hours making us feel totally welcome and comfortable. He enlightened us about the total capabilities and technologies of Heart of Art. The creative capabilities were amazing including various forms of art, multimedia, murals, music, events, and just about anything you could dream of for your business or personal collection.

Now it was time to see the finished piece framed and ready. Saima had repainted the frame that we picked since she felt it was competing with the colors in the painting. I’ve put off writing this review because I can’t find the right words to describe the wonderful experiences we’ve had at Heart of Art!! My daughter takes art class with Ms. Saima and I’m so incredibly grateful for how her creativity is nurtured and her unique perspective is honored. Class is not only fun, the students gain a foundational understanding of different styles and types of art. They experiment, grow, imagine, and push themselves to higher levels of artistry each week. Ms. Saima is patient, collaborative, and just a wonderful teacher and human.

In addition, Saima has worked with me to customize two different paint parties for family and friends. One was a hybrid virtual/in-person event, and the other was fully in-person at the Studio. Both events exceeded my expectations! The adult participants had a wonderful time, and we each let our creativity take over, even if we’d never before considered ourselves “artists”….personally, I’ve been amazed at how relaxed and happy I feel at at the end of a painting session.

My husband and I were looking for a fun activity to do with my wonderful nephew/godson and his lovely wife, when I came across Heart of Art. Saima, the owner, is incredibly kind and accommodating, she has the most warm and welcoming manner, which set the tone for the day. Saima coordinated an amazing glow paint event for the four of us. Her studio has an eclectic mixture of the most vibrant, beautiful art and one cannot help but be inspired by the artistic expression that surrounds you. We painted, sipped wine, ate great pizza, had great conversation and listened to an awesome playlist of great music. It was a perfect afternoon that we look forward to repeating. We also look forward to hosting birthdays and many other events with family and friends with Saima. On the heels of the inaugural election, this was such a welcome reminder to be kind to yourself and each other. I highly recommend her classes for aspiring artists of all ages and skill levels.
