I have shopped in many used bookstores in the Philadelphia/New Jersey/Delaware Valley area, and this was the worst customer service I have experienced! The woman working there was not very friendly, and when I first "found" her (she was not visible, and I said, "Hello, is anybody here?", to which she did not reply), she acted as if I was bothering her.
She asked me what genres I was interested in, went and pointed out where a few were, and then left me. She was then talking to a regular customer, and seemed more interested in "gabbing" with him.
There was no explanation from her of their pricing scheme, and since she was chatting with that customer, I felt like I should ask another customer, who was nice enough to explain it.
I guess that I was spoiled by Labyrinth Books the day before when I was in Princeton, which gave me excellent customer service from every employee there that I came in contact with - probably the best I've ever had!
I plan to return to the area, but I will never...

The store carries a wide selection of fiction, carefully separated by genre. Today my purchased included a book that the owner informed me I'd already purchased (yes, they keep track of what you buy and sell them if you have an account), so I saved myself a few dollars, as I'm sure it's in a to-read pile somewhere in the house. You see, dragons, can't cry liquid tears, they'd just vaporize, so their tears are liquid glass that look like this when they fall from the sad dragon's eyes. What a...
Read moreJoan is so very friendly! She makes getting books a real personal experience. The book selection is also incredible. I've always loved bookstores but her store is the top of the game. She has books of all kinds and they are organized to the max everyone I come in, and she can look up on the computer where a book is and if she has it. It's the perfect blend of personalization and convenience.
2020 update this place is still the bomb! So great here, and Joan is still so friendly...
