CAPITOL CITY BUY SELL PAWN — Attraction in Hampden Township

I don’t even know where to start with my experience here. I went in to pass the time while our son was at the armed forces center across the street. When my daughter and I entered, I was beyond surprised by their selection!! Their prices were beyond reasonable! A gentleman was playing guitar in their music equipment section. Since my daughter has been in love with Guitars since birth, she allowed her to stop and listen for a bit. To me, that was BIG! She’s always wanted to learn how to play. Now, after being there, she’s dead set on buying one. I found a metal detector I needed for our non profit we run. Not only were they extremely helpful, they helped me learn how to use it! They went above and beyond for us. In my experience with Pawn Shops, they tend to not be so welcoming. These guys are the exception to the rule. They are warm and friendly from the door. If you collect almost anything, this is your place to be. They have coins, gold, silver, jewelry, sport memorabilia, guitars... hell even a banjo! Seriously, this place has a little of everything. Wow! What a great experience! I visited this business last Saturday 10/26/24 and it definitely won’t be the last time! First off, the property and the business itself is very clean, easy to find, simple parking and organized well! I walked in not knowing what to expect and was immediately welcomed with a warm greeting! I was ready to part with some meaningful jewelry that I no longer wore and wanted these items to be enjoyed by someone else. The gentleman that helped me was extremely knowledgeable and understanding of these items and handled them with care and respect. His pricing was extremely fair and I felt comfortable and safe while waiting for the entire process to completed. In total, I believe I was there under 30 minutes. He looked at all the jewelry and even the one Disney collectible that I brought along. I was so grateful for the sincere guidance and feedback he gave me about all of my items and I would absolutely 100% come back to this place again if I had more items for their consideration. love this place. always play a fair ball game. if an employee isn't sure how to help , they immediately get one that can, and that's ok. also, ..... ok look folks, fact is, if you're selling an item, realize that A, its used, and don't look forward to getting at least half of what you paid for it new, pawn and resale stores are the same as antique shops, yes its cool yes its valuable, yet these guys gotta turn their inventory over in order to put food on the table... simple as that . i personally sold one of my guitars. it was rare, unique, and i wrestled a lot with wether to part with it. i paid around 480.00 for it, sold it for 140.00 and guess what, its still for sale where i sold it priced at 249.00 almost a YEAR ago. it just won't move. what good is an inventory if you cant sell it, so give these guys some slack. you can haggle a little bit depending on your item, but if its not worth haggling over, don't worry these guys will let you know... again great shop,great service,...
