A recently opened establishment 110 Gallery is not letting the new wear off, or the paint barely dry as they move into varying areas of service for local artists. Yes it’s a gallery, and as you enter the front doors it showcases local artists in many different mediums. And the installations immediately draw your attention and you begin to browse. Paintings, pottery, yarn work, metal sculpture and more. And your ears catch sounds “ is there construction?” Well sort of, in an area beyond the gallery is an “artist’s studio”; work tables, 9 potters wheels, kiln, a welding station, all in a bright airy setting. Classes of many different mediums are held individually and in groups. 110 Gallery in Phoebus is such a fun place! Owner Karen Spaulding showcases a variety or artists as well as her own beautiful watercolors. The pottery selection is great. What I like best of all are the art classes! We did an introductory pottery class that was so much fun that I then did the monthly pottery class with Jessica in April.
