Where do I begin…Michelle is truly an angel! I ordered a custom wedding gown online based on my measurements and it arrived with less than 2 weeks til my special day (20 year vow renewal). When I tried the dress on it was too big and just hung on me. It was too heavy and I was devastated. Where in the world could I get my dress altered in time? I immediately started googling to find somewhere to take my dress. I found Mcellis Brides Deaign Studio and checked out their profile, reviews and pictures. I immediately made an appointment online for the next day. When I arrived I was so nervous that I was going to be told the alterations couldn’t be done in time. Michelle made me feel relaxed and never uttered anything about the short turn around time. She immediately got to work pinning my dress to make sure it fit correctly. Once pinned she made the necessary appointments for me to come back to be fitted. My first fitting was amazing. She worked her magic and the dress fit so much better and was not as heavy anymore because it didn’t hang off anymore. During the fitting she made some additional adjustments. A couple days later I went for my final fitting and it was absolutely even had envisioned when I designed my dress. My coordinator was able to pick up my dress on Thursday because Michelle took the time to steam it for me. I am forever grateful to her for saving my day!!! I cannot recommend her enough! I promise you will not be disappointed with her workmanship and more importantly the love she has for her craft and clients. Thank you...

I only give TWO stars for effort, seems to be a nice lady, but unprofessional/ unorganized and nonchalant about customer service issues. I purchased what I thought was my dream wedding gown, however when I received my dress it looked NOTHING like the inspiration picture I gave her wich she confirmed that she could achieve the look/style. She took all of my measurements and requested that the dress be paid in full prior to her ordering it just for it to still come in the wrong size and a week and a half late. The dress wasn’t ready for pick up on the date promised, I called and she explained that she had another company make my dress, on top of that she never apologized after I told her my dress was completely wrong, she never attempted to try and alter / fit the gown for me, even though I told her my wedding was a week out from the day I picked up the dress 🤦🏽‍♀️ the sad part is that she gave my dress to me hanging in a black plastic trash bag…I wanted to cry ..Luckily I was able to find a seamstress to add some beautiful appliqué and size it correctly to fit me and they provided me w/a nice garment bag.This made my experience McEllis very stressful I was so DISAPPOINTED. I was out of nearly $1,100 My wedding was years ago….. I’m hoping that she has improved her services and not ruining peoples wedding dresses. It’s the fact that I trusted her and I wanted to support blk female small business I felt as though when my dress came in wrong she should have helped me fix it. Customer service was on ZERO!! SAD...

I can't say enough amazing things about Michelle. I would give her 10 stars if I could. I only got my alterations done here, but they were amazing. I purchased my dress from another salon and was unable to get alterations done there. I saw Michelle recommended in a local group and I contacted her about my alterations. We scheduled a consultation for the following week. She is amazing at whst she does, she is truly so talented. She fixed everything that needed to be fixed: took in the bust, hemmed the dress, and did a bustle. The lace on the dress was extremely detailed, and you would never know she had to hem it. Everything was perfect. She was so flexible with the dates for all 3 appointments. She responded to messages quickly and was always there to answer questions. In my opinion, her prices are great. She steamed my dress and held it until the day before my wedding, as I didn't have anywhere I could keep it. She even steamed my veil for me, as well. She took a video of how to do the bustle so my mom and bridesmaids knew exactly what to do. She is so nice and professional and amazing at what she does. I don't have any personal experience with her custom dresses, but if they are anything like her alterations work, I'm sure...
