A festive shout out to Victoria and staff at Nonna Sulina's Italian Deli on Schoenersville Rd in Bethlehem, PA! No ricotta cheese this trip but found that 1891 Sicilian Salami that was recommended by another reviewer. (BTW: Did stop at Giacomo's one day a day after they ordered it in, but they close at 3 pm!) Anyhow, I purchased a few bags of specialty items: rapini ravioli, provolone cheeses, Brooklyn breads and the selection of ravioli plus homemade fig cookies, ricotta stuffed horns (carticcio) and those almond thumbprint cookies. OMG. As we celebrate different cultures, I’m amazed there are many regions of Italy that cook and eat differently that I’m still discovering by visiting these places! Great variety of pastry, pasta, bread, cheese, oils, etc. Everything is either fresh or shipped right from the homeland.. prices are very reasonable (anyone who says otherwise doesn’t understand you get what you pay for) And can’t speak enough about the hospitality. Everyone greets you with a warm smile and they’re glad to explain what everything is if you’re not familiar. Been several times already; what a great addition to the Lehigh valley community....
