
5 days after Charlie Baker placed additional restrictions on business's, including everyone at a gym required to wear a mask at all times, and some of your staff are still afraid to confront patrons who blatantly refuse to wear a mask at all? I witnessed it tonight. A guy on an elliptical machine, who appeared to not even have a mask on his person, let alone wearing one. Before this guy showed up, a male staff member did "do a lap" which I appreciated. But some of your front desk staff simply look the other way and refuse to say anything. I understand it may be awkward for them. But if there was ever a time for everyone to step up and do the right thing, it is now. I would think as a gym owner you would be concerned that Bakers restrictions are going to go even further including another shutdown. But you would not know it by the the lack of training of your staff. Or maybe you simply do not care?
Follow up to my review below from two weeks ago. I was pleased to hear, and appreciated, your prompt response to my complaint about a seemingly new mask policy that did require masks for cardio workouts. I chalked it up to your front desk staff being misinformed. Well, apparently they still do not understand, as my respectfully asking them to talk to a non mask wearing member on a treadmill tonight was met once again with "our policy has changed and masks are no longer required on the cardio machines". Again, it simply does not make sense. Especially since your allowed capacity has recently increased. It is like you are moving backwards at a time you should be more vigilant. Thanks for listening.

The health and safety of our staff, members, and neighbors is our top priority. Please never hesitate to speak with a manager if you have any questions or concerns. Please help me understand that just when it appears that mask compliance is higher than it has been since you reopened, the decision has been made to allow those doing cardiac workouts to do so without being masked. What are you thinking? To be honest, I never understood why you were not more stringent in enforcing the mask rule from the get go. Allowing the same people, who apparently feel that the rules do not apply them, to continue working out with noses exposed or even masks on their chin, without fear of being penalized. However, I ultimately got tired of reporting them to the front desk as I know your staff is only following management directives. To me, it was always a real slap in the face to the more than 90% of us in full compliance, but I learned to live with it and stay clear of these selfish members. But now, not requiring masks at all for those on the cardio machines, takes this lack of respect for the health and well being of your compliant gym members, to a new level. I was told that since I live in another state, I would have to come in person (not possible) or mail a hand written letter to formally cancel. They froze my account for 1 billing cycle until my letter arrived. Months later, looking at my statements, I was still getting charged. So someone on their end must have lost my letter, otherwise it would have been returned to me by now. I figured this was a mistake, so I called an asked. Of course I was redirected and given an email address to the main office. After requesting a phone call to speak to a human about my situation, I was answered in an email saying I needed to show proof of the mail I sent 6 months ago (also impossible ???). Although I had the document of the date I called to freeze, with no gym check in record since, not only was I told I will not be refunded, I was told my account will be cancelled. Another Planet Fitness lie. Well, to no surprise, I am still being billed. I am extremely dissatisfied with the poor quality of management and customer service of Planet Fitness. Most of the employees are great but a few of them in the evening are extremely unprofessional and rude. I didnāt know it was ok to invite friends to come hang with you at work, wrestle each other behind the counter and completely ignore the state of the gym and god forbid you need to ask them a question because they look at you with complete distain and annoyance for bothering them. The tanning beds are on a whole different level of nastiness. They DO NOT work, the bulbs are constantly out and they have been this way for a over a year. Majority of the time they are dirty so you have to clean it before because you canāt trust that the employees do it. I have been to many other Planet Fitness locations around the country and this one has the worst tanning beds I have ever seen. I was under the impression that in order to have a franchise, you had to keep the franchise up to date with equipment. The locker rooms are falling apart and half the treadmills are always temporarily out of service. I will still continue to use this gym when I have to solely based on itās...
