Planned to visit New Orleans in January, and thought this would be a fun activity to do while here. Booked an appt for January on December 15th and showed up on time to my appt at 5p on January 7th, even got an email the day before asking if I could confirm my appt for the following day! I show up to my appt to the doors being locked, no biggie, it was around 450 to 455p when I showed up. Waited outside hoping someone would show up soon. A few minutes after 5, the doors are still locked. I called, just for them to say that the owner is sick and how they were just about to pull up to put a sign on the door saying they would be closed today… mind you I booked this almost a month ago, a courtesy call would’ve been nice before I drove all the way here! So unprofessional. I was given the option to reschedule to tomorrow (since that was my last day here but I already had other things scheduled), or get a refund or I could still have the opportunity to play but since the owner is “sick” they said that we would run the risk of getting sick ourselves..I chose a refund, you wasted my time and money once, you will not get the opportunity to waste my time again. Mind you, I was still outside of the location, parked right in front of the door for about 20 more minutes trying to look for other things to do, I never saw anyone come up to put up a sign…
So unprofessional to not even give someone a courtesy call to let them know that you would be closed the day of their appt. Will never recommend this place to anyone....
Read moreTo start, not aesthetically appealing in the store front. We expected a gaming appearance facility but it was quite the opposite. When you walk in, the waiting area was not well kept. We booked online and it said 40min experiences for $40. We chose Safe Night and on arrival, was told Safe Night was for only 30 mins for the same price which it did not state online so we went with Colony Code Red. To say the least....there is a lot of idle time with the story lines during the game so you're truly not engaging in play for 40 mins. At the conclusion, we asked about receiving clips of the experience while we were in action just as other VR companies provide and were told that "it was still in the works" but would receive something, but have yet to receive any footage. We engaged in VR before and this would not be considered a top experience. Wish the company success but we won't...
Read moreWe booked Another World NOLA for my son's 10th birthday party. They had an absolute blast, and we enjoyed watching their reactions to the games. Plus, the game room was more like a living room with a big sofa, board games, and best of all, a playstation and xbox. The kids who were out of VR for a rotation had just as good of a time in the game room. In the VR arcades, the kids played free roam VR games, which is different from the VR experiences kids can have at home. In the larger space, the kids played Shmooter, which was similar to Fortnite. In the smaller arcade space, kids could pick from several other fun games to play. His friends said it was the best birthday party ever. Business owners were great with the kids and made sure that all of the kids had enough time in the different game stations. We will be back! Thank you for a...
