I recently hosted ann event with my technology company at the Historic King Mansion and it was truly one of the best events we’ve had to date. Courtney and her entire team were world class professionals. I worked closely with Courtney on every aspect of planning the event, from connecting me with amazing vendors, to floor plans, and virtual tours since I do not live in the area. Courtney was so incredibly patient and kind. She even ran all the way home to bring easels so we could use them for our signage!
The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of space for whatever your vision is. We hosted a technical event with a catered lunch, presentation, and vendor networking as well as a sunglass pop up shop for our customers’ gift. My vision came to life and it was the perfect venue for this type of corporate event. Although you may think this is just a wedding venue, it certainly is MUCH more.
A shoutout to Andrea and her entire team at C&J Catering. They were recommended by Courtney and far surpassed my expectations. Everyone was so kind, accommodating, and professional. The food was amazing as well as the presentation! Also, thank you to Travis at RedTie for all of his AV expertise. All of the AV was supplied, sound checked, and AV stayed on site which was a blessing for a non- AV girl.
Do not hesitate to book this venue! The options are endless and the team is extraordinary. I can’t wait to have another...
Read moreWe were fortunate enough to experience our wedding at King Mansion and it was nothing short of an absolute DREAM. When we were looking at various venues, I knew the moment I pulled into the property that it was the place for us. The beautiful charm and history of the mansion speaks for itself. It's perfectly located in downtown Harrisburg right on the river which just added to the beauty of it all. Not only that but it checked all the boxes I was looking for- character, style, and elegance. There were two things besides the obvious parts of the mansion that really sold me on this venue. I wanted to have the perfect day- rain or shine. There's so much stress with weddings between the expectations and cost that it's hard to make a decision on something as fickle as weather. So when I tell you it rained on my wedding day, there was no disappointment for us. The indoor foyer was where we ended up having our ceremony and unlike many other venues, it was just as radiant as the front lawn outdoor option we had hoped for. The second thing that was important to me was making sure our family members who had physical limitations were able to participate just as much as those without. The venue ensured easy parking and access for everyone to share in the event without any issues. I was so happy to find this gem in my area and couldn't imagine having our special day...
Read moreIf you are looking for a classic, timeless, and eye-catching venue for your wedding, look no further than the Historic King Mansion in Harrisburg, PA. My now husband and I decided early on that we wanted a cocktail style wedding where our family & friends could mingle while enjoying their food & drink. The mansion has a designated caterer/event coordination, the JDK Group. They executed our cocktail style wedding that included several food stations (for example: pierogi station, hanging pretzel wall, slider station, charcuterie & cheese board), his & her drinks and ensured the flow of the event was seamless and interesting. We had wanted a venue with multiple rooms & options to flow throughout as well as an indoor/outdoor option. The mansion provides a designated reception space but also allows the guests to move throughout the sitting rooms and outside on the porch. Our wedding was to be an outdoor wedding on the lawn, but it had rained that day, so our ceremony was moved indoors, and the set-up was beautiful and intimate. The mansion also lends itself as a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos that also includes views and photo opportunities of the Susquehanna River. The 1920’s, recently renovated mansion was everything that we had wanted in the venue...
