Big Lots — Attraction in Harrison Township

The cashiers last night were super unhelpful and rude. We were looking at the Christmas trees which were all displayed on shelves with the sizes listed. There was one tree that was on the floor to show the height but did not have a size listed. I approached the cashiers who looked pretty unapproachable to begin with. I nicely said “excuse me, I have a question” and was just stared at blankly. I proceeded to ask if they happen to know what size the tree is that’s on the floor (the display is not far from the registers). The lady rudely asked “which one?”. I responded “the one on the floor. It’s the only one on the floor, it’s not on the shelves.” I’m not kidding when I tell you she stared at me for a good 15 seconds and then in a rude tone said “I… don’t know… which one you’re… talking about?” So I just threw my hands up and said “okay” and walked away due to her being so unhelpful. Then when I began walking away she said “Ma’am… ma’am” and I said “there’s no reason to be rude about it”. Then she told me she’s not able to leave the register and told me she could get someone else to help me. First of all I’m unsure why one out of the two of them couldn’t leave the register and second, why didn’t she just tell me from the beginning that she’s unable to leave the register and that she’ll get someone to help? Or if she would have just responded with “no, sorry, I’m not sure what size the tree is”, would have been fine because I really wasn’t expecting her to leave the register in the first place and was just seeing if she knew the size by chance. She wanted to try to be helpful after she was rude and when I was already on my way out by calling someone to help me, but I left. I’ll be buying a Christmas tree from a store who has friendly and helpful employees. I am a very passive person and typically just internalize it when someone is rude to me. This was the first time I’ve ever called someone out for being rude. If you hate your job that bad, leave. Don’t project your hatefulness onto others.

Also important to note that my boyfriend told me after we left that he was even behind me pointing at which tree I was referring to and the male cashier was looking...

Went in to buy a gaming chair that they had on sale. Couldn’t find anyone for 10 minutes to help me purchase it (only display model). No one was around so I go to the cashier lane and said “excuse me could someone help me in furniture please” the gentleman looked at me and said “yea when were not busy” and he gestured towards 5 people in like while there were 4 cashiers. Extremely rude. Didn’t think anything of it went and stood back in the furniture section and waited. After 15 minutes I watched the First Gentleman I spoke to send an employee near me ask another customer if he needed help and said no. The first man I talked to was POINTING TO ME for the other employee to come help me. I tried chasing after him and said “excuse me “ 3 times and he just ignored me. Listen I have to admit... I’m a bit persnickety when it comes to furniture... I NEVER dreamed I’d find good quality furniture at Big Lots?!?!

I went in there to get some of their cheap little toys for my grandkids.

I like to always have a big bag of cheap little things to give them when they visit…

It’s my trick I use so I am the favorite grandma

I just happened to be in the market for a family room couch… I got a L shaped sectional for under $500 at Big Lots!!!

and I have had it for almost 2 years now!!!

It is STILL comfortable and even after the grandkids jumping up-and-down on it like they are maniacs… It is still comfortable and in good shape!

Maybe I just got lucky but I definitely suggest giving them a try.

I would have paid triple that amount had I bought the same thing elsewhere
