First and foremost, one of my beds was literally made over a pile of vomit. Yes, someone saw a bunch of puke on the bed and literally went ahead and made up the sheets on top of it as it poured off the side. When you walk into the building, the hallway reeks so bad of cigarettes that it’s hard to breathe. I’m not exaggerating, this was the strongest stench of cigarettes I’ve ever been around, and I work in real estate and have been in hundreds of homes and hotels. Nothing like this stale stench. And I was in a non-smoking room! Apart from this, there was hair to be found everywhere, the floors and surfaces were sticky and unclean, and the microwave was filthy with crumbs all around inside and out. This is a dog-friendly hotel and there is shattered glass in the parking lot near the door, not to mention cigarettes everywhere, beer bottles and cans, other trash, etc. The building itself is in no way secure: You don’t need a key card to access the building at any point in the day or night. When I picked up the phone to call the front desk to change rooms, the ear speaker appeared gunky and uncleaned, and there was no speakerphone. Of course they changed my room, but upstairs it still reeked of cigarettes (supposedly a non-smoking level), there was still hair in the sheets and on the stained old towels, the shower was janky and falling apart. The building’s water feels “soft,” making it difficult to rinse soap from your hands and body. I would not recommend drinking it. Even the single plastic cup in the room was in ripped up plastic. In the morning, the breakfast or lack thereof ends at 9:00 a.m., absurdly early to end breakfast service. I went to breakfast (which was strangely placed down a hallway so I couldn’t find at first; no one was at the desk to ask for a minute or so) at 8:45. There was no coffee, the pancake machine seemed broken and inoperable, and the only food options were plastic-wrapped mini muffins with a huge amount of added sugar, or cornflakes from a dispenser. No coffee, no juice, no water, only milk. So they don’t even offer the most basic breakfast. After all of this when I checked out, I politely requested a refund. He declined and argued that they resolved the problem, as if a bed of vomit was a nonissue. I mentioned the lack of breakfast and he argued that too because I didn’t come find someone again to ask them to fix the pancake maker. This is by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever experienced in my life (out of hundreds). The place is a literal health hazard. I only stayed here because they accepted dogs (with a fee that’s nearly half the price of the room, of course). Good luck here,...
Read moreDo not stay here My wife carries a bag to keep our expensive belongings in when we travel and stay at low-end hotels we left our room three times All three times we take the bag with us The third time we return we get a phone call from the front desk I mean like as soon as we walk through our door our phone was ringing front desk says they're going to search her room something about sneaking in animals because we keep our belongings in a big bag now in my experience of 10 years of staying at a hotel this is criminal activity this is why they watch when you come in and out of your room I don't know what's going on with front desk but the fact that it's ran like a jail or a Gestapo or like you're living in Russia and you're just going to come in and search your room because they want to know what you have in your bag like this ain't America and went entitled to privacy believe me you do not want to stay here they think you have no right to privacy apparently they only rent to tweakers with dogs and that's all they want there because if that ain't what you have they harass you threaten to search your room if you're an upstanding citizen me and my wife are 50 years old and I've never received treatment and 10 years of traveling and doing this never receive treatment like this I've never had a hotel threaten to search my room all because they were curious what I had in my bag Believe me this is a tweaker's paradise people run don't make the mistake I made and try to save a little money but this is why I only rent one night to see how these kind of hotels are before I pay for a whole month!!! I think we dodged the bullet this time by keeping our expensive belongings on us as the front desk knew every time we left exactly what we took with us and exactly when we returned The fact that they call our room before we even make it in there to make sure that they're letting us know they're wanting to search our room and they're wanting to know so badly what we have in our bag is...
Read moreDo NOT book with this Hotel. The situation goes as follows: I had accidentally made a mistake when making a reservation online and made the reservation for the following month. Honest mistake, but none the less, still a mistake. The possible solution path? Contact the manager and ask her if there was any way I could reserve for my original date at their given rates and refund my other request. I would still be doing business with them. When I asked her if this was possible she stated that I must call Expedia and ask THEM for a refund. No problem. I contacted Expedia, and asked them if this was possible and they stated that they would need approval from the hotel to do so. Perfect. I assume they then speak to each other and deny my request for a refund. they then proceeded to tell me that I told them I was preapproved for a refund, when I never stated I was, all I said was that the manager would be familiar with the situation. I just spoke to the manager and they told me I could ask for a refund, and that it was through them (Expedia). So now I am out 240$ + the obligatory reservation I had to make to stay there the original date 280$. Albite their policy (the hotels) says there are no refunds, why would she encourage me to call Expedia and ask them for a refund under the impression they would make an exception for my case as if I am still not doing business with them? On top of all of this, she was very condescending and rude over the phone. The extend of this went as far as calling me, the customer, a "liar lying through his teeth" and yelling at me over the phone leaving me unable to reason with her. Needless to say if I had a manager like Lois I would quit my job in a heartbeat. She had no willingness to help me what so ever. I hope my grandparents visiting family have a...
