Elsiebee Originals — Attraction in Hartwell

I took five original photographs and a poster (5x7 to 20x28) for framing as a trial run before sending several larger prints. Am I ever glad I did...

I called after the three weeks quoted and they were not ready. Two additional weeks later I called again and they were ready... I'm glad I called! Five were ready, the last photo was still in the sleeve from the printers.. something must have happened.

Of the five framed prints three have mats that over 1/8" out of square in reference to the frame. Two of the white mats were cut with a dirty knife (new blades are 50 cents, come on!) leaving a soiled edge, three have uneven and torn corners. On two of the prints the cut matte edge is not even straight, it wanders off like a drunk.

The frame assembly was OK, but far from professional... Nails driven into the framing from visible angles and no effort made to fill or stain around where they were driven.

I paid full professional framing prices for pieces of original art. I received five pieces of careless workmanship that have visible flaws from...

I don't usually post negative reviews, however...I love to use local businesses whenever possible. I took an expensive, limited print in to be framed earlier this year. When I went to pick it up the first time the matting wasn't cut straight and was torn in the corners. They said they saw the issues and would fix them. I went back when it was finished the second time and it looked worse. (some of the same issues and some new ones) After 3 months and no resolution in sight, I picked it up and took it to Anderson for framing. After opening it in their store, we found the print had been damaged. That's when I decided to write a review. Thankfully, the place in Anderson said they could fix it. They framed it in 7 days and for 15% less. Great people at ElsieBee's, but if your looking for quality framing......

Painting clay pots was the BEST ever. My out of town family visitors enjoyed a raining Monday to paint and design our clay pots as a make/take project. Thanks Louise and Sharon. Our finished clay pots are really looking good on all our patios! I recommend any of the special projects being offered. I also enjoy the card making on 3rd Monday of every month at 10:00.
