Hartwell Suites — Hotel in Hartwell

Ive been coming to Hartwell since I was a child. Seeing the town grow has been truly amazing.

I was excited there was a suite in the middle of town! Great location. We didnt require service really at all, so I dont have much input there.

The room was nice, however, I feel it was VERY expensive for what it was. You cant use the stove for real cooking. (Maybe remove it all together and keep the microwave) After I showered the towels and the bottoms of my feet were filthy from the floor. I mean brown. Not sure if the floors are not being cleaned enough or they need a sealant put down to prevent the natural floor from rubbing off. Either way, a bit gross.

Definitely recommend some kind of shower curtain. The shower was extremely cold being so open.

The bed was a bit flimsy and uncomfortable, maybe a stronger bed frame would help. Im 5'7" 140 lbs and my husband's 6'2" 240 lbs so id say we're pretty typical in build.

300.00 bucks was a bit steep for just a room to sleep in, but considering we wanted proximity to see the local shop owners, we went with it.

Room was exactly as it showed in the pictures! Clean, quiet and charming! Location is excellent as there are plenty of places to walk to and eat and things to do in downtown Hartwell, but quiet at night. Bathroom was larger than most typical hotel bathrooms with large walk-in shower and shower rain head. While no one actually works on the property, we did run into the housekeeper. She was extremely friendly and offered to get extra supplies if needed. Check in/ check out is as simple as it get! Property manager allowed us to get into the room a bit earlier than scheduled. This was an adorable place. Super convenient in downtown. Easy to access. But....the room was dirty. Floors were gross. Spiders/ webs, dead bugs, sheets appeared clean but we had to wipe hairs and some other stuff off, one pillow had a very large brown stain. Shower was terrrrrrible. This was a impromptu night to Hartwell. Thought this place was super cute. Maybe the room hadn't been occupied in awhile? Not sure. It was a little disappointing. Would I stay there again?
