Backstreet BBQ — Restaurant in Hartwell

So I drove 20 mins to Backstreet BBQ in Hartwell and purchased a fair amount of food. When I got home I realized that they had forgot my quart of stew, which was the only reason I drove that far. I called and a woman informed me that the girl at the window couldn’t remember whether she gave it to me or not. Now for you that know me, that was an insult! So I said that I was kinda offended by that comment. She responded, well people come in here all the time and then say they didn’t get there stuff so they can get free food. Really, that’s the opinion you have of your customers? I told her I had traveled to get there to which she said so what do you want me to do? My response: “Nothing! You just lost a loyal customer over less than $10. Have a blessed day!”

Just want everyone to know what Backstreet BBQ employees think of their customers. I guess they think everyone is a thief!!!

And by the way, I used to be a loyal customer here that spent a significant amount of money every month. No matter how good the food is, customer service goes...

EAT MORE CHICKEN!!! If I could leave zero stars, I very well would. We tried Backstreet BBQ back in 2016 when we moved to town. Saw the line out to the road and thought, that must be great!! Well to say the least it was a super dissatisfaction of food. Temp and taste. Fast forward to last week, my wife works at night and I figured I’d try something different, Backstreet is now available on DOORDASH. Ordered ribs with two sides. DOORDASH was great and when I sat down to eat, major disappointment. Ribs were cold and tough and beans were cold. Ate a few bites of slaw and put it away. The rest of the evening I was up and down with stomach and restroom issues. Both experiences were pretty bad and I will not be going back...

Not the best BBQ place we ever ate but due to the good prices I order takeout from here in a pinch to feed my family on a night I don't have time to cook...You never really know how your food is going to be. Sometimes the pork is dry, sometimes its not..sometimes the slaw is good, but sometimes its not sweet enough. I guess it depends who is making it...I usually get me a chicken half for myself because I'm not a big pork fan. Tonight I got a pound of meat, a quart of stew and a quart of slaw to feed the fam. My chicken half tonight was not edible due to being so very dry! It was like chewing on rubber. Its hit and miss with this place because the chicken is not always like that. I would like to see a little...
