Hastings Public Library — Attraction in Hastings

Normally I would give it 5 stars and a great review, however that is not the case today. I had to print something from my phone today. I needed help getting it to print because I had only done it once before. The middle-aged balding gentleman that I asked for help from insisted on treating me like I was stupid because it was taking me a few minutes to understand what he was saying. He finally, very arrogantly asked me if I had the file saved to my phone and that's when it started clicking in my brain. That's when I informed him that I had only done it once before. I went to the library with the hopes of having a nice quiet place to do some homework. However, I quickly realized that this was a mistake. This library was easily the loudest one I have ever attended. Believe it or not the loudest individual in the library was the librarian herself. When she was helping others she felt no need to dim the volume of her voice. She was loud enough for me to hear her through my headphones...noise canceling headphones. She also did not seem to mind other guest talking loudly with her as it seemed she knew them. All In all I would not recommend this place if you are looking for some peace and quiet, you are better off at the local coffee shop...

Beautiful space with lots of resources, but editing the review to less stars because one of the workers there is just so off-putting. She is an older lady, maybe in her 60s or so, with short dark brown hair and wears a mask. She talks very loudly to her co-workers (isn't that ironic that I'm complaining about a librarian being loud) and complains while working. I used to come to the library to work, but I don't see how anyone could focus in here given how loud this woman is talking. It's unfortunate given how helpful the rest of...
