I'm not a fancy foods type guy. When i saw the menu i got nervous. I usually don't like foods that are 'fancy". Surprisingly, the chicken sandwich was decent. Not spectacular but it was a interesting but different flavor from the usual. It seemed a little dry, as the pepper jelly wasnt spread on the bun, it was plopped in the middle just like arbys does with their roast beef sandwiches. The onion rings were surprisingly delicious. They're normally greasy but they weren't here. It's not a name brand soda but the root beer was good, too. All in all, a reasonable lunch at a reasonable price.

This place is not only beautiful, the food is also wonderful! The tables were set with cheese, specialty crackers, and pastrami(?). The bread came with wonderfully seasoned olive oil to dip. And then came the dishes: the salmon was delicious, topped with a great sauce, the short ribs were incredible, topped with a wine sauce with mushrooms and onions. The food, atmosphere, and service make this a great place for special occasions, and the very reasonable prices make it a place to go any time!

Went for our 35th anniversary dinner. We wanted to support our local restaurants instead of heading into Grand Rapids. Both our Aloha chicken and salmon dinners were delicious!! I also went this past week with friends for tortellini Tuesday. 😋 Looking forward to the next wine dinner, I have attended several before covid restrictions with my sister in law and my daughters and everyone we have attended were awesome. So glad we have seasonal grill in our town.

Sunday evening dinner, impromptu. Menus were tattered and sticky. Music was a little too loud coming from a Bluetooth porch speaker on the floor behind the bar.

My wife orders a ribeye steak special, and I chose the Beef Short Rib Risotto.

My option can with a choice of soup or salad. Went with a Caesar . The salad itself was decently sized but was much too light on dressing.

When the entrees came out, her steak order was correct and cooked to order.

The short rib risotto was another story. Menu description: “Slow braised boneless short ribs, cabernet beef demi sauce, and wild mushroom served on a bed of classic parmesan risotto.” Plating was rather messy with parsley scattered all around the rim of After reading “Slow Braised” I was anticipating fork tender, no-knife needed, melt in your mouth texture. Unfortunately, the texture was closer to rubbery canned beef, and it took a knife to cut the meat that was quite dry in the inside. The risotto was certainly creamy, but lacked much flavor of Parmesan. The Demi glacé tasted commercial and the mushrooms were far from wild.

Service was helpful with my wife’s allergy, but I would prefer servers to be a bit more professional than singing along with every song that plays.

We will probably...

Came for Mothers Day buffet. First we had a reservation for 5. There was no more tables for 5 and wanted to sit us outside and it was too chilly to do that. The hostess was not nice and was totally rude when my mom asked for a manager. The manager was nice and we ended up taking another groups table that ended up not coming and the hostess said "I dont care sit them wherever. " as a owner of a restaurant myself that hostess would have been gone.

Next the set up of the buffet was wonky. The line was so long and I felt bad for those sitting in booths because they had people over them waiting to go get food while they ate. Then by the time we got up there everything was gone so we sat down and waited for them to bring more. Too many people in there for the way the buffet was set up. The food was mediocre. The cutting station was the best! The cinnamon roll bake was raw in the middle, chicken thighs were dry, great potatoes and had a good selection of desserts and fruit. Was it worth $24.99per person, nope. If done again, maybe have the buffet in one section of the restaurant, in the back room or take out some tables so people aren't crammed in and people arent watching over you...

Went there with my family for my lunch break. I work just a few stores down (walking distance). It was about 15 minutes before we received our drinks. Looking over the menu, and realized it was quite a bit pricey. However, the next time the waiter came by he showed us that there was a much more reasonable lunch menu. Gave us another 10 minute to look over the small menu. We ordered the " ultimate" grilled cheese, and chicken tenders for our 2 year old. About 25 minutes later we received our food. Grilled cheese was barely melted, and bread had a crunch to it...but was hardly toasted. The chicken tenders were a dark brown color, and quite hard...I'd say slightly over done. The french fries were great...but come on...they were french fries! Waiter asked how everything tasted, my husband said, "so-so". The waiter acted like a jerk after that. In the end, my lunch break lasted for an hour and 15 minutes. Thankfully my boss was cool with the extra 45 minutes added to my lunch break. I was disappointed, because I've heard great things about this place. But I doubt...
