I’ve shopped a number of times at Kings over the years. Every time I am always so impressed at the vintage/old school approach on the customer service experience I receive. The time they spend with you, the patience they have as you ask questions, the knowledge shared, and the incredible kindness shown to fit my specific needs is amazing.
Today I had the pleasure of meeting Len. I stopped in to check out inventory and pricing for some things that a family member was needing. Len took extensive time to educate me even though he knew I wasn’t going to be buying anything at that exact moment. He didn’t treat me as a number to be passed over to get to the next sale. I truly felt like I was the ONLY person in the store. I was the priority. I just don’t get that in my shopping experiences anywhere else. It felt very 1950’s department store shopping. A time where the customer is treated to an exquisite experience of being catered to, waited on, and given customized choices. 😊
I was able to return later with my Father where Len repeated some of the same info to him as if it were the first time he was telling it. He didn’t rush through the conversation, but was kind in repeating answers as my Dad asked about the products. His genuine care about what we wanted/needed was so apparent and it was so appreciated.
I’m writing this to share my gratitude. In a time where clients, customers, patients etc are glossed over quickly and sometimes rudely; this was the total opposite experience. It felt wonderful especially when the purchase was on the higher side. But through it all, I never felt like Kings was just trying to make a sale. There was NO pressure.
To Len, I thank you for working with me and my Dad. You made what could have been stressful into a simple and easy task. You were so freaking awesome. It is very evident you have a big heart.    Read moreI have been a customer of Kings Appliance for forty years. Never had any problem with the King Family. I went into the business this last Saturday and I have never been treated so rude by the new owner. I was not greeted at all he did have another couple he was talking too but still it takes a second to greet someone or to let someone know they will be helped soon. I decided to look around and finally some other gentle man comes up to me I couldn't really understand what he said but was finally able to explain to him that I bought a New Refrigerator just before this new owner bought the place but I was having a hard time replacing the night light bulb located near the Ice dispenser. I explained to him I was able to get it out but was having a problem getting a new one in the socket. It was a basic light bulb that you can purchase anywhere. He told me I would have to bring the old bulb in. I explained to him that was unnecessary because it was a standard bulb he would not give me any help told me again bring the bulb in. I gave up on that asked if he had a certain type of Hollywood Bed Frame or could get one he told me he would ask his Boss. The owner finally comes over and he is asked about the bed frame he abruptly states no I can't get that very rude and condescending. Made no effort whatsoever to offer an alternative.    Read more5 star customer service. Kings was the only place within a 75 mile radius that had the correct size and color refrigerator we needed last year when it was so hard to get appliances. Unfortunately for me, it's proved to be a defective unit over the last year. Kings Appliance has made numerous calls on my behalf to GE for repairs and have gone above and beyond to make getting it fixed under the warranty as painless as possible. When the refrigerator stopped cooling, they even lent me something to use at home to keep our food cold until the repair technician from GE could come out to service it. They answer my calls and emails right away and are always courteous despite my frustration with the GE brand. If I had purchased from a big box chain I'd be on my own, up a creek and stuck on the phone arguing with GE for hours. We will absolutely continue to look to Kings for any appliance purchases...
