What a lovely spot for dogs to be dogs! Don't be that jerk that doesn't watch your dog and starts acting a fool with the rest of them... for the most part, on my visit, dogs were playing nicely. Every now and then there will be a little fight but owners are quick to break them apart. The park itself has a couple of benches, a couple of trees and I'm assuming toys from sweet random dog lovers. There's a hose and a water fountain available to refill water bowls or wash off messes. The entrance/exit gate looks pretty secure. Two gate doors that swing outward. Lots of parking in the park and ride lot. We went around 1630-1730 and there were a good amount of dog traffic coming and going. As far as I could see the grassy areas were nice but around the trees there were droppings left behind. Read moreAs it was only our second visit there, the first one was very enjoyable...my dog is only a year old and is adjusting to different environments...animals, people...he's very shy yet. He's slowly learning to socialize. But, that Sunday evening as soon as we entered and I let go of my leash, all these dogs came at him! Especially this large black pitbull was aggressively after my dog! It was terrible!! So many of them way bigger than my dog, chasing him and my dog was so frightened! I was glad that the owner of the black dog took his dog away in time before any harm was done. But, I really felt bad that my dog went through that "initiation". A woman at that park told me that a lot of the more aggressive dogs stay in that area of the park that I was in...OMG...I guess dogs have their territories...but, we did, after all, have a nice time there and will continue to...
Read moreThis is an awesome dog park! Plenty of room for the pups to run and play! You can do full power throws for the best most intense games of fetch! A really big plus is there is a fresh water source in the park and plenty of shade so no worries about your pup getting too hot.
The only thing to be careful and mindful of is there are young/new dog owners that visit the park. Some of them are very uneducated on dog behavior and how to discipline their pup to stop aggressive or assertive behavior. Because of this some dog fights do occur, BUT if you're an educated dog owner and are able to identify problem dogs or spot early that an altercation may occur then you and your pup will be...
