I have to say this place is delicious!! It's my first time visiting Hawaii and first time trying Japanese BBQ. This was by far great for a first time like me. We grilled pork belly which was perfect! I read that someone thought the portions were small, but me and my husband share every plate that we purchased, Ala carte (separate individual prices) as apposed to the meals. We just wanted to try different things that we thought we would enjoy. We had two appetizers which were Garlic sticky wings and fried Dumplings. Please don't quote me on the correct names on the menu. Lol. The pictures you see are noodles with shaved beef, and a Garlic shrimp rice bowl which cooks right infront of you! So delicious! Would definitely go back again! And honestly the prices are not expensive! They have "happy hour" where prices are cut for mostly everything that is ala carte and I believe the lunch specials. This is a MUST GO TO PLACE!!

I absolutely love dining at Gyukaku in Mililani! We usually go for the all-you-can-eat premium option at $65, and it’s worth every penny. While they claim you can only order two dishes at a time, we've found that it’s pretty flexible, and we often manage to order more than that. Just make sure you can eat it all! Some of my favorite dishes include the umami scallion rice, yuzu shishito peppers, and the beef tongue and intestine. Each bite is packed with flavor, and the quality of the food is top-notch. Plus, I can't resist pairing my meal with a lychee gin mojito—it's absolutely delicious and adds a refreshing touch to our feast. Every time I leave Gyukaku, I walk out feeling incredibly happy and stuffed to the brim—sometimes to the point where I can hardly breathe! If you're looking for a fun and satisfying dining experience, I highly recommend giving Gyukaku a try. You won't be disappointed!

Meh. I've had much better. The service from our server was a bit slow but she was very nice. The gentleman at the front hostess stand who checked me in was meh...I walked in to let him know we were there and he said we couldn't be sat until everyone is there and we'll be sat right away. Perfect, I went outside to get my family and we still had to wait another 10 minutes while they set the table. That was the whole purpose of checking in while they were outside. We opt for AYCE for the adults and for the children we ordered ala carte. They had to sit on oneside of our party which is perfectly fine. I understood. The meats were good which I had the pork belly, beef Toro (yum) and shabu beef (?). The shabu wasn't as good as I've had at different locations. I also was able to taste the garlic noodles and my kids raved about the fried rice. Happy they were able to accommodate a party of 10...

Terrible terrible terrible service!!! Samantha who looks like was the manager on duty and Taylor our server, She shows absolutely no hospitality to their customers whatsoever. Never checked up on us we had to literally go to their door and call for them so they can assist us. All are empty dishes was not being removed by them we had to remove them ourselves and place them on a clean table, and that happened about four times and not none of them got the picture or they just didn’t care….. Honestly They didn’t care . We made their job easier so they didn’t have to walk all over to pick up our dirty dishes. We had No you’re welcome’s and no smiles, well, couldn’t see if Taylor was smiling or not because she was wearing a mask, but Samantha the manager on duty she definitely wasn’t smiling throughout the whole time we were there. Also, we had to ask them to change out our burners and when Samantha came to change them out she had put so much oil on top the flames went high, a few of us had a reaction and that’s when I seen the first smirk on her face. She meant to do that. Someone threw up from another party cleaned it up but didn’t completely do a good job, could still smell it when we walked past to head to the restroom. And the restrooms there was only one stall in use and the toilet paper you could get nothing out of it!, it was stuck informed them about it and they did nothing. Was a struggle to get tears of...

Gyukaku Japanese BBQ is located in Mililani Mauka at 95-1830 Meheula Parkway C-12 and C-13, Mililani, HI 96789 and is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you like to cook your own food right at your table and have a variety of sauces, meats, and vegetables to choose from then this is your kind of place to have a meal.

We have eaten here several times for special occasions and our 10-year-old granddaughter loved cooking her own food. The prices are not bad and if you go at an off time it shouldn't be too busy. We've seen it really packed on Fridays, though. And we were there around 3:30 p.m. So it kind of depends on the day and what is happening.

The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. You can ask them about any of the menu items if you have questions. This is a fun place to have a meal and conversation where you more or less do for yourself. It's certainly different than having someone wait on you and do everything for you. Give it a try and see how you like it. I haven't met anyone yet who didn't enjoy eating here.

The all you can eat menu is pretty good but make sure you don't linger too much and take too long to cook your food because they seem to give you only a limited amount of time to cook and consume your food. I think it's around and hour or 90 minutes. So do cook your food fast so they can bring you more of the choices you like...

Oh my gosh, our waitress was so awful and slow. She would rapid fire out her script and spend only about 10 seconds at our table then disappear off into the sunset for half an hour. She came to fill my water ONCE our entire visit(because she was so inattentive, we were there for TWO AND A HALF HOURS). They forgot the rice for the entire table. 2 of our groups had ordered the course for 3 people and they only brought out courses for 2. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Forgot the broccoli with my order. Couldn’t figure out the tab. For the 70 minute all you can eat option, good luck if you have her as your waitress. We kept asking other servers for assistance because she didn’t seem to work there.

The food mediocre at best. Everything seemed to have the same flavor except the chicken. I also wish they had more options for sauces at the table. There was only one sauce that wasn’t sweet. Even the spicy sauce was sweet.

They turned away 2 groups at the door because they didn’t have a reservation. I didn’t see anything that said by reservation only but if you want to try this place out, definitely make a reservation(though I don’t believe you’re missing out on anything special if you get...
