Read moreWhite sand beach great for swimming and take the kids to enjoy the waters. There are plenty of coral reefs and lots of fish to look at however the area has really strong currents and therefore need to be very careful if you’re not a great swimmer. I did not get a chance to see any turtles in this area as they tend to stay away in the far off semi little island or rolling hill in the distance about 3000 feet away lol. This beach is shared with a hotel and have cabanas to rent and other swimming gear. The bathrooms are filthy dirty and limited to only one stall lol. The outside showers are attached to a tree and the water is super cold but they have lots of water pressure and this is the best shower in the entire island lol. There’s a grassy area you can clean up before heading back to the car. The site is very nice and easy to get to just be careful where you park as some spots are for the hotel and the unnumbered area is for open parking and pay so you don’t get towed. If you don’t want to be in this beach you can always park on the main road and go to the beach not to far from here you might see turtles there called PahiPahi and remember sun block as...
Read moreIMPORTANT! As a local here I will share with everyone reading this something tour companies wont tell you. The traffic here sucks, expect to sit in your car for about 60 minutes to travel 15 miles. More importantly as more and more tourists come to visit the added foot and vehicle traffic is wearing down our roads faster and faster. If you visit you'll discover the roads in the north shore are already terrible and full of potholes and cracks the added traffic is causing the roads to erode into the sea faster too. Additionally the amount of people constantly walking on the reef and getting suntan and sunscreen lotions in the water is making the water murky and have a slightly oily film to it which is killing the reef and causing less and less fish to go to parts of the beach and its changing the eco system that and most importantly not as many turtles are coming around to turtle beach. All this plus the aforementioned traffic is causing more and more locals to get frustrated and hostile to visitors not to mention all the food trucks and illegal AirBnB that are...
