Public beach with very few people. Lots of rocks to the west end but sandy stretch to the east. North shore waves are strong in the winter and not suitable for water play. There is a fairly long walk from the turtle bay parking lot that is free for shore access.
The beach is good for adults looking to lounge, get some natural shade but not swim, paddle board or surf.

Read moreNice North Shore beach, which can be accessed via Turtle Bay resort. There is some public parking there but it fills up pretty quick. There’s a good trail that runs across the shoreline that makes it easy to walk or you can walk on the rocks, near the water. Be aware because the tide can get amazingly powerful here, especially in the winter months. Don’t turn your back to the ocean because the waves can really reach out.
