Scam alert! Predatory illegal unsolicited add-ons. I was trying to cancel my membership since 65 days ago. I moved and worked in Sun valley 40 miles away. Red flag I was charged eight sessions at $88 per half hour, 30 minutes of training. I would never in my right mind since I don't make $180 an hour, why would I pay someone $88 for a half hour of training? How can I be responsible for the bill when I can't cancel the contract which is effective for 4 months and charged me seven sessions at $88 a piece for a trainer which I never use. If I can cancel then how am I responsible for 3 months that I didn't use? Since I moved to Sun valley 40 miles away? Now I have ABC Bill collection since they drained my account. They claim I owe them $300 even though I haven't done one single training session. I went to see Quan. He told me I drive all the way from Reseda to go to work. So I told him why don't you find a gym closer to home? He said because he's going after opportunity. His point is I should drive 40 mi to use the gym when there's one 2.1 mi away. Why would I drive 40 miles? I explained to him. Just because he does it doesn't mean it makes sense. He said I can't cancel because it's a contract for 4 months. I explained why would I join $88 for 30 minutes session with a trainer that I've never used yet and don't intend to because that's too much money for half an hour. He still said you can't quit until July 7th. Then you can quit. He told me to wait so I want to put in a formal complaint because this is ridiculous. I did not sign up for training session. I was happy until I found out I owe $300 and the collection is after me four letters and I prepaid for seven sessions of training at $88 per half hour which is completely ridiculous. If I don't get reimbursement a refund then I will go after the authorities, consumer complaint and you may lose your license for cheating the public. I'm letting you know. Resolve it with me before I make a formal consumer complaint ! you won't resolve this with me I give you until August 10th. I will alert the authorities consumer affairs and they will investigate. You know the whole works BBB everybody. This is not a legitimate practice and I refuse to pay for a bill when I can't cancel 3 months of service I didn't use. Get it clear. Resolve it. Bad public relations. I love your gym and I love the staff accept the manager. He doesn't get it. He said you paid for seven 88 training sessions. It's there for you for a year anytime you want to use it. But should I drive 40 mi?. EOS There's nothing like it anywhere when you have all amenities at $10 and I joined 24-hour fitness 4 MI away at $42. 24 went up after the 4th of July. gold's gym or LA fitness or chuze. Planet fitness doesn't have sauna I used use the sauna jacuzzi

PS: No infrared sauna which is cheaply maintained with light bulbs and low cost maintenance and in the long run would pay for itself by less use of electricity and materials. Basic EOS $10. Basic membership includes all the wet areas including sauna, swimming pool, steam room and everything in the club except free towel service and lazy boy massager in the recovery room. Nicest staff member. They're always polite and helpful. Always courteous. Best club ever if they had infrared...

To Whom It May Concern / EOS Fitness Corporate,

I want to share a deeply disappointing and unprofessional experience I had on my very first visit to EOS Fitness, which took place when I attempted to redeem a 7-day pass and potentially sign up for a membership. What was supposed to be a simple process turned into a humiliating situation where I was treated with hostility, accused of actions I did not take, and ultimately asked to leave under threat of the police — all without raising my voice, causing a scene, or doing anything inappropriate.

Here’s what happened:

After researching gyms online, I came across EOS Fitness and signed up for a 7-day pass through your website. I received confirmation via email and text, and drove to the location excited to try the facility and potentially become a paying member.

I checked in at the front desk, filled out the information on the iPad, and was then directed to speak with the general manager, Kasee. She asked for my ID, and when I told her it was in my car, she instructed me to retrieve it, which I did without issue. Upon seeing my driver’s license, she immediately told me I wasn’t eligible for the 7-day pass because my listed address was not at least six miles away — despite the fact that I do live nearby, but just haven’t updated my ID.

I said fine — forget the free trial, I’ll just sign up as a regular member. To my surprise, she refused and told me she “felt uncomfortable” and was choosing to deny service. I hadn’t done anything wrong at this point. I asked why I was being spoken to in a rude, irritated tone and asked if she was having a bad day — I was calm, respectful, and just trying to get clarity.

I then asked to speak with someone else, since this interaction was clearly going nowhere. Kasee left and returned with Donika, the operations manager. Instead of de-escalating, Donika came in accusatory — asking me if I had taken any photos or videos. I had not. I told her I was on a conference call with my mentor and even showed her my phone. Still, she insisted that Kasee “would never lie” and demanded to see or delete footage that didn’t exist.

At this point, they both left and returned with the front desk employee who originally checked me in. He informed me I had to leave and that if I didn’t, the police would be called — simply because the general manager “felt uncomfortable.”

Let me be very clear: • I never yelled. • I never cursed. • I never took photos or video. • I never threatened or disrespected anyone.

I was simply trying to sign up for a membership — trying to give you my business — and I was treated like a threat, discriminated against, and kicked out for no valid reason.

This was my first day ever setting foot in an EOS Fitness. I left feeling humiliated and deeply disappointed. This is not how people should be treated, especially by general and operations managers who are supposed to represent leadership and uphold professional standards.

I will never do business with EOS Fitness again, and I will encourage others to be very cautious about how they might be...

Great gym, excellent staff, large space, very good facilities and decent equipment.

I look forward to seeing my friend Iris at the front desk every day. She checks me in by name and turns down the music for me (its always too loud). She's very friendly and warm. She's also the reason for this glowing review!

My trainer Sam is great. He listened really intently to my requests and built a custom program based on my experience and feedback. He didn't make me do silly exercises that I see other trainers doing with their clients. We only focus on the main barbell and dumbell lifts. We're making massive strength gains every week and I've added a noticeable amount of muscle.

Also I have to thank Jacob, who got me first aid when I smashed my thumb in one of the machines and was bleeding. He got me an ice pack and a band aid and chilled with me in his office until the pain went away.

The equipment is pretty dang good for a commercial gym. You definitely get a lot for the $25 a month. There's 12 squat racks, plus leg presses, hack squat and even a belt squat machine.

Dumbells go up to 150 which is plenty heavy for any serious lifter. I'd like to see them add a couple more 22.5 dumbells as well as some 17.5s (really hard to find those!) They also have a plate loaded shrug machine and plate loaded preacher curl machine which is pretty cool.

Some of the equipment doesn't seem fit for enthusiasts and seems like it belongs at a Planet fitness. Specifically the machines along the left side wall of the gym. They don't provide enough resistance for any serious lifter. I only ever see the elderly people using them. Which may be intentional, because the gym is a place for everyone.

I'd love to see them adding some plate loaded hammer strength machines, specifically an incline press, an upgraded shoulder press and upgraded chest press.

The cable machine attachments could also use an upgrade. Specifically we could use a different lat pulldown handle (the black matte ones). I hear they have one in the back but I haven't seen it. The current lat pulldown handles (Steel and aluminum) are a bit cheap and not quite heavy enough. This would be a cost effective and easy way for management to add massive value to one of the most important parts of the gym.

Overall I think it's a great gym and fits my needs perfectly right now. The price is great at $25 a month and they have a month to month billing cycle unlike other gyms that require yearly contracts. Hopefully the cancellation process, if I ever need to use it is easy and not a nightmare like every other gym. (this is what...
