Js Nails & Spa — Attraction in Hazel Park

I’m not sure how this place has 5 stars other than people aren’t taking the time to leave a review. I’m writing this review as I sit here waiting an hour + to be serviced after I was told 10 minutes which seems to be what they tell everyone. So I have time.

I only ever come for the same basic services (gel fill and shellac) and while there is never usually more than one person ahead of me waiting they are very slow.

They barely greet you. They never provide you with an accurate wait time. They don’t provide you with any updates on how much longer before you’re up. They won’t even make eye contact unless they have to. So make sure you come equipped with plenty of patience and have time to sit.

I’m being generous with 3 stars because even once they get to you provide their nail services…it’s just decent work. It gets The job done.

The only reason I come here is because of the convenience of it being right down the street. However, that convenience factor becomes a moot point when they wait is consistently long.

They could work on service and they aren’t pricy so just be aware that it never looks busy for a reason. Be your own judge of course; just sharing...

I chose a design that had 2 colors. What I got was one color and it was different from my toes. When I went back to the shop after I noticed the colors were different, The lady was loud , and disrespectful & told me it was my fault because I picked the colors & I didn't say anything when the guy was polishing my nails. It wasn't explained to me that Cateye polish as she called it is only for nails & 2. He didn't do the design I asked for which had multiple colors but he charged me an extra $5 and did his own design wich was just a line.I expressed that, I dont know their procedure to getting the art I asked for and he should've given me what I paid for. The lady was rude & loud the entire conversation. I wont be going back. I tipped him $10 too. If it were me, I WOULD HAVE redone my clients nails for free. But, they obviously felt they didn't need or respect...

I paid $105 for my nails and feet.

I went in at 7pm. I seen they closed at 7:30pm. I asked if they had time to do a pedicure and a full set manicure. They said yes. So I got my pedicure done first. I got a black tip French pedicure. Jenn did my pedicure. She did a great job! My toes look really nice! Then I got my nails done after that. I got a full set manicure almond shaped with black French tips. The guy that did my nails. Didn’t really speak English, but that was ok. We were able to communicate good without words. Even shared a few laughs cause my tenseness in my hands a few times. He did an amazing job on my nails! They are probably the best French manicure I’ve ever had from a salon! The nails are just the right thickness too! They aren’t any thicker than my usual press on nails are!
