Rock Hand Hardware — Attraction in Helena

We went into Rock Hand after striking out at other hardware stores in town. We needed help finding adapters for an odd plumbing part and understood it was likely going to take several steps to get us where we needed to be with our DIY project. Zack took the time to listen to the specific issue we were having, thought of several avenues that could help us, brainstormed with us, and came up with a proper solution.

And Zack, if you’re reading this, it worked! Our dad now has an operating countertop dishwasher! We used every one of the tips and tools Zack gave us and we are so grateful that our disabled father can now safely handle his kitchen cleaning. What a lifesaver you were that day.

To the owners of Rock Hand, give this man a raise and a vacation please. He is a saint among us....

I went the other day and purchased 3, 20 pound bags of Ice Melt. I am a younger woman who looks capable of lifting them. Without even asking the cashier called for loading assistance. The store associate loaded them in the back seat of my Jeep and when he was finished, opened my drivers door for me, shook my hand, and said "Thank you for being our customer, we look forward to seeing you again soon" As I looked around, amazed there was other associates doing the same for other customers. I have always tried to use Mom and Pop type stores instead of big box stores, but this was beyond my expectations. They now have a customer for life and I have already told 3 other people and will keep telling people! Rock Hand Hardware is awesome and I will no longer be going to the Orange guys down...

A little short staffed today, but very helpful locating items I don't often shop for. As usual, the cashiers were super friendly and took care double bagging some extra heavy items. This is my favorite hardware store whether I'm stocking up for a major remodel or project of any size, or even if I'm just getting some keys made. ( I've NEVER had a key cut here that didn't fit!). It might not have all the products that the "Big Box " stores carry, but most times they have what you NEED! Plus best.of.all, even though they are alll across the country like the big stores, they always give you that small town, local service Like they.say, , "ACE.IS THE PLACE....." I would highly recomend this store...
