My 8 year old son was never seen or examined at your hospital even though he vomited over 10 times in the ER restroom and soiled himself because he was so sick and weak. While I was telling the nurses in the ER that my child was throwing up and soiling his pants and needed to know how long before seeing a doctor, they just said soon and walked away without concern. They disregarded my child without even seeing if he was okay in the restroom even with how sever he was getting. I had to ask for a gown since his clothes were all soiled and with the sudden decision to take him to the hospital, I didn’t think of bringing extra clothing or ever expected such negligence. A gown was never offered to me I had to ask for it even when the nurse knew he was all full of feces. After 2 hours of waiting(mind you I arrived at 5:00am when it was almost empty) my son was still not helped and he couldn’t stop throwing up so I decided to call Loma Linda where they said they would help my child upon arrival. We are currently in Loma Linda hospital where he was immediately helped upon arrival with an IV and blood work. Not even his temperature or vitals could be taken at your hospital. The worst part was that when I told the staff I am taking him to another hospital because he wasn’t being helped the nurse just said “okay” with a smirk. Brushed me off and acted like she just got rid of a problem. The ER room has very disgusting behavior from staff that lack common sense to even the basic human treatment. I’ve personally came here before and was treated the exact same way and haven’t returned due to the negligence but due to my son’s condition, I drove to the nearest hospital. I don’t know if children aren’t prioritized or it’s all equal but even if that’s the case all the staff you have need to be trained to have some respect and treat people better. I will never return to this hospital due to the way your ER staff behaved and treated my child and myself. It honestly hurt so much to see how they could care less that my son was this sick, knowing what was happening for 2 hours and didn’t do anything about it AND acted with such relief when I said we were leaving. I felt like I had no choice! My child has never looked this way before and was getting worse! I also called the hospital to file a complaint right after leaving and they directed me to the ER charge nurse. I really hope she did write everything down that I told her about. She said because I left there was nothing she could do. She said she was just coming into work and wasn’t aware but but I did see a large amount of staff there and no one bothering to do a thing about the patients but gossip and laugh loudly in the lobby.
Also as I’m typing the results came in and my child’s kidney levels are so low so he needs more IV fluids. His vomiting started in the middle of the night and once I noticed it wasn’t stopping I went to you guys for help. He got worse because your staff couldn’t care less about him. Sad that I can’t go to the hospital 5 minutes away instead I need to drive out of town to get the help I need. I’m furious right now with these results and I am holding back a lot because I’m trying to communicate correctly and like an adult even with the disgusting treatment, ignorance and negligence we just received. If I could rate this hospital...
Read moreHospital is understaffed, security is extremely unprofessional, furniture is damaged and worn out, walls need painting, items are not safely adhered to the wall and falling off, flooring has filth stains, electrical outlets have cracks, plumping is leaking and has calcium built up.
1/2/2025 - Update: the elevator malfunctioned while my relative was attempting to go to the first floor. The emergency call button failed, and she was stuck. As of this evening, the elevator is still out of order and there is only one elevator functioning, this is the same elevator that is used to transport patients through floors. Such a safety hazard for both visitors and patients.
1/3/25 - update: it’s been 4 days now of hospitalization, they missed delivering dinner again for the second time for not accurately checking the notes. I had to go to the front desk to gain assistance as no one answered the call button.
1/3/25 - evening update. The elevators malfunctioned again located in the second tower. A lady was stuck for 15 minutes. We utilized the stairs to gain access to the fifth floor. There is constant wailing of patients asking for help and asking for water. We personally experience a delay in service of an 1 1/2 after calling the nurse station through the call button. Day 4 and the floors have not been swept nor mopped in the room. We requested janitorial service to clean the flooring as now my relative is more ill than upon her arrival. As of the evening, there is no surgeon assigned to our relative and no surgery date. After asking multiple parties in the hospital, supervisor nurse, assigned nurse and the physician on duty they could not provide an answer to our family. I am gravely concern about the situation and lack of initiative from the doctors. The staff is friendly and willing to assist when requested, however there is a lack of drive toward moving forward with a treatment plan. I am beginning to believe that this hospital is a fraud. Keep your family and loved ones away.
1/4/25 - Update: Day 5 and surgery has not scheduled and no ortho surgeon on duty. The doctors failed to inform us that there is no surgeon on duty therefore surgery has not been scheduled. The primary doctor has not been transparent with the situation and the doctors keep making excuses why they are delaying. We have requested a transfer to an alternate hospital that has an orthopedic surgeon however the primary doctor is not being of any support toward the patient and family.
1/4/25 - evening update: our family decided to do a self-discharge and pay for a private transport service to an alternative hospital. Her condition worsened in the last five days she was hospitalized. She went in for one issue and was discharged with other health problems. I pray and hope that the conditions and treatment of the hospital care toward patients improves and the health of the patients is...
Read moreI had my first experience with Hemet Hospital this week. And let me tell you, I am very grateful and highly impressed with this hospital. From the moment I walked into the ER, I was treated with respect and kindness. The gal in the ER, whose name I didn’t catch, but I think was Katie or Kathy, was fantastic. Even with all the madness that goes on in the ER, she handled everything with care and grace. I was admitted, and brought to the 5th floor. I was immediately made to feel that I mattered. My RN Jazmin, is phenomenal. I could not have asked for a better caretaker. My CNA Sean, made sure all things were done to make my stay the very best that it could be. These two are the dream team. The Dr, Dr Penaherrera….no joke.. this guy is House, but a gentleman, and so kind. His team of Dr.s that came in with him took quality time with me to discuss everything, and not just one time…on the daily. I was not only seen at this hospital, I was SEEN. ♥️ Susan, the secretary/leader/manager of that 5th floor, obviously loves her job. And it shows. She and that 5th floor team are amazing. I could not have asked for better care. This is the place to be when you’re not well and need taking care of. What a blessing it is to find a place where my welfare was the priority. Thank you Hemet Hospital for being there when I needed help. You rocked it. 💙💙 3rd day here and need to add more deserving names to this post. My RN Miguel and CNA Maria. Miguel is a phenomenal RN. The amount of care that he puts into each part of caring for his patients. You’re fortunate indeed to have him as your RN. I was taken down for an MRI By Tyler and Persephone. What a fun experience. Great attitudes and caring personalities. My MRI tech whose name escaped me, as I was sedated for this MRI, turned this experience that I was very nervous about, into an experience I felt proud of overcoming the fear I had. He made it very comfortable and was very comforting. His name started with a J I believe. Another night here and again had stellar care with RN Alexa and CNA Rosa. The caliber of the care staff here is amazing. Update: spent an entire week here. Finally going home today. But cannot leave without a few more shout outs. My RN Alexa, who took care of me like I was her own family member. And Dr. Partovi… whose kindness and love for what he does, emanates from his heart. This kind of care, from each one of the caretakers in this post, is priceless. And while I hated being sick enough to have to be here, these people made this week so much better. They. Are. Healers. ❤️❤️❤️ Highly recommend this hospital. The 5th floor rules. And is filled with people who care about you as their patient. Thank you to each and every one of you. Each of you a blessing for what you do, and...
