I have been a visitor and fan of Friendship Park for 17 years. Generally the visitors do a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves, after team picnics and playing sports. There is just one subject that the local people who use the park need additional training in, and that is with pets. People who visit the park with their pets like to release them and let them leave deposits all over the park's turf. Then the next day, when kids and coaches are practicing sports, they fall in it, slip on it, and get it on their clothes. When people let their dogs go off-leash, it is very hard to find the spot so they can clean it up. The people who do make an effort to use the doggy bags and clean up after their pets are to be commended, BUT a good percentage of them throw the poop bags along the sidewalk and landscaping.
