I've been coming to The Coffee Press since I moved to Henderson in 2022. The shop is super convenient because of where the library is located.
However, for how expensive their products are, their service no longer exceeds their prices or matches the quality of said products.
The cashier/barista - whatever you would like to refer to her as - took my order, which included a smoothie and a wrap, made EVERY drink order before and after mine, then when it came to me, she had nothing but a blank look on her face while before looking right at me and shrugging her shoulders before saying "and did we forget something or..." To which CLEARLY IF I AM STANDING HERE STILL THEN YES! SURELY YOU HAVE FORGOT SOMETHING whilst in the same breath presenting yourself by way of your own body language as if you didn't miss a beat so why am I standing in your face still. Her tone was condescending , rude, and when I finally had my order in my hand, the smoothie I ordered looked like nothing but concentrate.
Went back to buy a simple bottled coke and the cashier couldn't be bothered to pause during the sale for there to be any kind of interaction at all. Asking questions and literally speaking over me as I answer, to "thank me"? Blow right passed rude and straight over to blatant disrespect and for these prices? This definitely marks the end of this relationship.
I used to enjoy this place. Food and service were both top tier.
They hired those people to represent their establishment, so as not welcomed as it appears I am now at the coffee press, then I guess there's nothing left here. Next time, management should post who is and is not welcomed so the "not welcomed ones" at least they know what to expect, should they decide, to patron there, they're already not welcomed, so don't think when you do step inside that you will be treated with human decency regardless of if that's the behavior you're giving them. They are going to be treated second rate and inhumanely because well, you're not of the "selected" who are welcomed at The (lovely) Coffee Press...Which really is too bad. Their Mark Twain Turkey sandwhich /wrap, and a few items were pretty good. As was, I think the Peanut Butter smoothie.
It's too bad - I've been coming here since I moved to Henderson, 2.5 years ago, without issue. But with new faces, come new experiences. The Coffee Press is definitely not the only/last coffee shop in Henderson. That's for sure. It's really too bad it had to end like...
Read moreI live in the far Northwest part of Las Vegas, therefore, traveling to the Henderson area is a bit of an adventure/road trip. My family and I received a gift to The Coffee Press from our outstanding Realtor and decided to finally redeem it on 30 Mar 2024 because we were in the vicinity that day (~2:30 pm). I was a little taken back on the idea that this coffee shop was located adjacent to a public library. Not that it's a bad thing, but you don't normally see coffee shops located this way [normally they're within a (strip)mall, plaza, stand-alone building, or inside a major grocery store/department store]. Regardless, this coffee shop was phenomenal and now I wish all coffee shops were co-located this way because it was nice and quiet...even though there's only a limited amount of libraries in this country.
When we walked in, we were greeted very nicely by the employee up front. The employee who greeted us also took our order (I think her name is Jessie, based on the receipt). Since this was our first time visiting this coffee shop, it took us a little bit to decide what we wanted to order since there were a lot of things grabbing our attention. However, "Jessie" was extremely patient, especially with me since I was taking forever to decide and asking a lot of questions...for this, I am grateful for her customer service skills.
My family and I ordered the Brewed Coffee, Agave Latte, Matcha Latte, Orange Cranberry Scone, Oatmeal Raisin Cookie, and Espresso Chocolate Cookie. Since 2017, I have slowly transitioned myself toward consuming more black coffee versus having "coffee with my cream and sugar." However, once in a while I like to experience different "foo-foo" type drinks from new places and I'm glad I did too - the Agave Latte was hands-down in my Top-3 Lattes I have ever consumed in my life. My Latte wasn't excessively sweet like you would get at those major franchise coffee shops, which I can appreciate. As far as the cookies and the scone....let me tell you, they were fantastic!
Overall, I really enjoyed my time here; between the quality of the goods, reasonable prices, and their extraordinary service, I highly recommend this place to everyone. It's unfortunate for us that this is located far away from our residence, but if I'm/we're ever in the immediate area, I'll/we'll be sure to...
