Jaspy's Sports Cards & Collectibles — Attraction in Hermosa Beach

Left this on Yelp but it doesn’t seem like Yelp reviews are checked very often so I thought I’d leave it here as well.

I struggled with whether writing this as a review would be better than sending an email, but ultimately figured this was more likely to get Jaspy's attention.

For starters, Jaspy's is a very cool shop. A different feel from most local card shops. It feels a little more boutique. One isn't better than the other, it's just fun to have a place that feels a little "fancier". Neon lights, well stocked shelves, and lots of options for people looking to spend under $10 or people looking to spend hundreds. The selection was solid and I got some great pulls from my purchases.

I've only been here once so I'd like to think the entire staff is not like this, but I felt very overlooked and like I was not being taken seriously as a collector as a woman when I walked in. I walked in and an employee said hello. No one asked if I needed help looking for anything which normally wouldn't bother me but it was a stark contrast to how the men who walked in a bit after me were treated. "Hey, how's it going, what are we looking for today!" One of the employees, while helping one of the men, even came and stood directly in front of me to show the other customer something while I was standing looking at some packs on the wall. I do plan on giving the shop a second chance as it was my first time and I did genuinely enjoy the shop itself. Jaspy's Sports Cards & Collectibles is an amazing sports card shop next to Hermosa Beach's Pier. It's an excellent place to shop for top selections of sports cards and pop culture memorabilia. The interior design of the shop is huge with a bar, pinball machines, and a showcase of multiple stuff from Sports Cards, Pop Culture Collectibles, Signed Memorabilia, and Toys. The In-store Staff in Jaspy's Sports Cards are top quality customer service, Friendly, and Accommodating (at a first visit I am treated like a VIP customer)! They are very attentive and very helpful to assist you with what you are looking for. What's great about this shop is you can also take a peek at their online business which is Sports Card Break, which they conduct most of the time. Overall this store is Highly Recommended! From Good Affordable Deals, Large Selection of Sports Singles, A variety of collectibles to find, and Very supportive in-store customer service. Also, rest assured that you are safe as their store is very clean, sterile & sanitized (and In Compliance with CDC Safety Standards). Jaspy's is my new go-to card shop in LA. I had been going to The Bullpen (mainly because much closer proximity to my house) but the prices and overall store is just so much nicer at Jaspy's!! They have really nice display casing, a really clean nice store, very good prices almost always very near to retail with just a slight markup, which I don't mind as long as it's reasonable. They also have everything price tagged as opposed to just making it up on the fly, or changing their prices daily/weekly, which feels much more credible and legit. Staff always seems excited to have a customer and offer to help immediately. I've only been a handful of times so don't expect too much "return customer" favoritism, but would love to see some repeat customer perks from time to time if/when I keep coming, like some free packs, multi-box discount, etc. I want a reason to support local over eBay, so incentives would be nice from time to time. Con: The parking lot is small, but I've always found a spot, even if it's very tight. I'd also like to see a little more inventory of older product, or obscure and rare non-sports or multi...
