MC Pacific Inn and Suites — Hotel in Torrance

Well my experience was not good. In my 60 years have never been that displeased. So let me tell u my weird 1 day. I'm a nurse and I live in Lancaster ca. I have a special need kid. All I do is care for him So my parent partner suggested I go back to work at lease 1 day a week. So I called my boss and told her. Since I'm a good nurse she right away put me in. Well 1 day turned out 2 days. So I needed a hotel weekly. On Saturday I work 8 hours 3p to 11p then on Sunday 7am to 11pm. So I need hotel from 11p to 6pm. Well this week mine was full. That's Torrance inn. A great safe place with nice ppl.So I go to Mc Pacific. Okay my key didn't So I called office they opened my door but didn't bring another key room 408. Ok My curtains didn't close so I had a lot of light. But I can't sleep with another of light. My next door room ppl loud. And I really need to sleep. So I tried to turn on the TV Well it saying no signal. Mind u its 12mn I gotta get back to work at 7am. Okay so it's cold so I turn on the heater didn't help so I wore sweat pants to bed. I covered my head with the covers to block out the light. Okay I woke up suddenly and seen all this light. I taught it was 8am so I grabbed my phone and it was 2:36am. Wow ppl don't know what ppl go though at 60yrs old. So I calm down and try to get more sleep. Okay I'm up 6:10am let me shower and get the he'll out of here. So I turn on water It's cold. So I let it run while I brush my teeth and prepare my nursing uniform that I will wear. Come back to shower it's still cold. So I try adjusting the water but still cold. So I took a cold shower. Not good. Let not forget the sink peeling. Another and I photo that. So I finally was leaving seen guy in office but why get myself upset before going to work. I hate a mean nurse. This hotel is in dire need of a renovation. Based on the description and photos, I expected a comfortable stay, but the reality was disappointing.

The problems started upon entering the room, which was worn down and not particularly clean. We even found the previous guest's hair still in the bathroom, which is just unacceptable.

The functionality of the room was quite poor. The electrical outlets by the bed were dead, and despite mentioning it to the front desk, they were never fixed during our entire stay. This was a major inconvenience for charging phones and using devices.

The lack of soundproofing was the most frustrating part of the experience. There is no door threshold, and the walls might as well be made of paper, meaning we got to enjoy our neighbors' conversations and the boomer with her loud TV late into the night. We had to change room to escape one particular noisy neighbor.

For a week-long stay, the absence of any room service was shocking. We were never offered fresh towels or linens, and the trash was not emptied.

The amenities were equally disappointing. The gym equipment was broken, and there was no bench, making a proper workout impossible.

The laundry situation was a nightmare. The machines only "work" with a convoluted online registration and credit card system, which in the end didn't accept common cards after all. The fact that you can't even use cash is incredibly frustrating. When we complained, we were simply told to wash our clothes somewhere else.

By far the BEST hotel in the South Bay! Jack is one of the most caring person I have ever had the privilege of meeting; not only does he go out of his way to make you feel like the most important people at his establishments, he is the first person in the industry to go out of his way to accommodate whatever is needed! I absolutely love this hotel! Honestly, this hotel is on its way to becoming a South Bay hotspot as far as accommodations, the rates are beyond reasonable. The property is better than a 5 star hotel especially for the rates that they charge! I cannot wait to see the transition of what it used to be, into what it’s going to be in the near future! Tony, is not only a local, but is one of the coolest people that is part of the team! Beyond helpful - he is personable, caring and goes out of his way to make sure you feel like you are the most important guest there! I am very impressed, and would recommend not only booking your next hotel stay here, the Indian cuisine is amazing and atmosphere is alive and thriving! (Restaurant conveniently located in front of location). I am excited to see what the future brings for the MC Inn and Suites! The pool is calling my name, and you cannot ask for a better location!
