Some friends and I were going bowling at the Gable House and were looking for a good place to meet for lunch. I just did a yelp search and this was the highest rated place in the area. We were all game for Indian so Bombay Tandoori it was! Well, we were not disappointed; even though it's part of a middling-looking Days Inn, I was impressed by how clean and nice it looked inside, with tablecloths, cloth napkins, and waiters dressed in shirts and ties and constantly in motion--straightening silverware, pouring water, asking how things were, etc etc. We all opted for the $11.95 champagne buffet, and what a bargain! Everything was so tasty and well-prepared. All your Northern Indian favorites are there: tandoori chicken, chicken masala, palak paneer, samosa, fried potato thingies, garlic naan, and much more! One disappointment was that they didn't have those fried dough balls in the sweet sauce in the dessert section, but they did have fruit, rice pudding, and the sweet carrot thing, which was really more than enough after having stuffed myself with the rest of their buffet. Overall an excellent value with great service--I highly...
Read moreThis place used to have a very delicious Sunday buffet but not anymore it seems.
We went there this last Sunday again expecting the same tasty food.
Many dishes were not filled for a long time once they were ran out. I waited to get some biriyani rice it was over and never filled back.
The mutton curry was also over and one server brought the refill but sent back to the kitchen by the possible Manager. May be they wanted to manage by limited refills over the buffet timings. Mutton curry was refilled late but it did not have the authentic taste. I give 5 outof 10.
Butter chicken curry was like 4 out of 10. They just put some boiled chiken in a gravy it seems. That gravy does not have the original butter chicken taste.
The waiter server us gave a good service though. They used to have a senior citizen manager who was very nice each and every customer.
We ordered some Mango Lassy and Spdaat last it never came. It seems like a change of chef.
Overall taste of food is average. If you are looking forward to taste different infian dishes here, its up to you as it was the same watery taste over almost...
Read moreReading the reviews online I thought this would be a good place for Indian food..Unfortunately the dining experience was bad.. me and my friends arrived and were immediately sat down, as we looked through the menu the server got to us and we got waters and a lassi… minutes later the server came and served us this cracker style appetizer for us with condiments.. a while passed and the server still didn’t get to our table and took a while to attend us, we ordered and waited which seems forever there wasn’t many people in the restaurant .. a table that came before us got food before us, we waited about 30 mins for food to come out, the server even argued with the cook which got very intense for a bit until finally I got my paneer pakora which was bland and no flavor. We finally got our food and it was one of the worst Malai Kofta I’ve had, way too salty in some green masala that didn’t even taste good.. the food was subpar and I don’t think I would even come back with how unprofessional, long wait and bad food. Too bad the only good thing was the server fighting for us trying to hurry up the chef...
