The Worldgate Centre in Reston was the place to go until they built up the Reston Town Center. Although it's a bit less popular, it is definitely still a nice spot to go for a multitude of needs. There is the AMC Theater which is rarely busy. For a date night, I'd start with a relaxed dinner at TGI Fridays, then hop over to the movies for the latest release and finish it off with a nice Cold Stone ice cream concoction. There are several other nice little restaurants for date night and otherwise, but timing can be a bit more challenging.
During the business day, this is a great place to pop in for lunch or get for pick up. You can go and have a huge spud at MacAllister's and then head on over to get your eyebrows threaded... but I would caution you from doing this right before going back to work as your face will be a bit poofy for a while.

And with each ticket comes recliner selection - which is a nice bonus since the sweet spot lends itelf to so few good center recliner seats unless you just want to take a loud nap. I knew Worldgate movie theaters before the renovation when it felt like being in a post-apocalyptic zombie movie. Overall, AMC has stepped it up and I would come back to see the movies given the comfort, convenience, speed, and...
Read moreJust visited the AMC Worldgate. We signed up for the option to rent the whole theater and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The theater was extremely clean and all employees were wearing masks. The seats were comfortable and reclined electronically. Each seat had its own food tray which my kids loved! We were able to order food in advance and pick up at the counter when we arrived (but there's also the option to order when you get there). The employees at the ticket and food counters were very friendly. We hadn't been to the theater in over 9 months since the start of the pandemic. Thanks for offering this option that made us feel comfortable enough to head back out to...
