I loved the food here! The ambiance was also surprisingly nice. Very instagrammable backgrounds. I've been wanting to try the food at this place in Herndon for months, ever since I moved into the area. I was just super intrigued by the cultural fusion and thought it was a unique and exciting concept. I've been trying to get my boyfriend, who's Indian, coming to come with me for a long time, but he was sussef out because he felt like Indian food did not belong on pizza. I'm not usually one to just spend money for no reason, because I'm intensely frugal, however, they also happen to be an American Airlines dining rewards member, and there's a promo going on if you spend at least $10 you can get 500 airline miles. Thus, I figured it was the perfect opportunity. Also, just any other time, even when there's not a promo, you can get three airline miles for every $1 you spend at this restaurant, and if you sign up for their email subscription, they will automatically give you a 10% off coupon. All that being said, I went in and got a10In Reg Achari Paneer Pizza. As more of a Domino's and Little Caesars kind of person, I thought $13 was a lot for a small pizza, but it was very high quality. While it was definitely enough for me to have saved it for several meals, I have to admit that I ate the entire thing in one sitting waiting at the bus stop. I was also very pleasantly surprised that when they said that it was extra spicy it was actually spicy. This is coming from a Black Latina who uses a lot of actual spices on my food lol. They allow you to customize your toppings, and get very generous amounts of veggie chicken. They made the food fresh and you could tell. Also appreciate that they have hand sanitizer in the front and remembrance of the fact that the pandemic isn't over....
Read moreOrdered on Saturday night for delivery after seeing some excellent reviews. To my disbelief, they were absolutely pathetic pizzas. The chicken pieces and paneer pieces were very dry, felt almost like eating a rock. The pizzas lacked flavor too. we were thoroughly disappointed. Turned out to be a complete waste of our money and an eventually ruined Saturday night dinner. Pizzas from fast food chains tasted far better than what we got last night from this place. Will never order again from this place again.
My response to owner's reply: Thanks to the owner for his/her concern. However, despite my food getting cold due to Uber Eats' delivery time, which is understandable and not my primary complaint point, why would the toppings come up rock hard, regardless of pizza base (in this case naan)?
Even though it's a naan base, the sauce and cheese lacked flavor. Mind you, I also reheated my naan pizza, which didn't help anyway.
Based on the response from the owner,
"and food you ordered was just naan with pizza toppings which is appetizer not the pizza you expect" This would not happen with a typical pizza."
So, does it mean, are we to expect an inferior experience with this dish because it was "just naan with pizza toppings"? Please note that it was the toppings that were of my primary concern. I've had such naan pizzas at other fusion pizza restaurants which were fantastic.
Though I really appreciate the owner's kind gesture to have me come in for a complimentary dine-in experience, my point here is on the facts based on the order that I had received that night, which didn't meet my expectations and ruined our dinner plans, and the owner's answer was to shoot down my choice of dish as they couldn't admit that they didn't...
Read moreThis place has some of the worst service. While standing at the counter waiting another guest walks in behind me and the server comes out and helps them first and proceeds to walks away while I’m standing there at the counter waiting. They kept saying it’s going to be another 5 mins a couple of times. Finally meal comes out and I told them nope waiting to long and I asked to speak to a manager that didn’t come out when I asked to speak to one. Service here is bad stay away from this place.
Update: So since you want to clarify let’s get the facts straight. My order was not ready at 9:01. I was told twice it would be five and then four mins due to the bread burning. But what about the other people walking in after me ( maybe four or five) getting their food and not being told twice hey five more minutes?? When I asked to cancel my order the lady told me she didn’t understand what I was saying. So I told her to please get the manager so I can cancel my order. Another three or four minutes goes by and she comes out with my food not the manger so whoever wrote the manger came out to talk to me is lying. That says a lot about this establishment. The manager (?) just happened to be talking to someone and I told him I want a refund. He did offered to give me the food for free but at this point I don’t want it. Too many people walking in and getting food and I’m just standing there. For you to come here to try to save face is sad. Your response is a sign that the service at this...
