I just wanted to take the time to let EVERYONE know about my terrible experience at Muvico in Hialeah 14. I usually go to the Muvico by my house in Tampa and never once have had a horrible experience. But, as I was on vacation in Miami I went to the Hialeah theater and it was the biggest mistake I did on my trip. The HORRIBLE customer service makes this location a DISGRACE to your corporation! First off we get to the movies to see Fast 6 (Saturday, 4/27, 11:20pm showing) the lady at the box office was distasteful and rude. In the middle of her helping us she tells us to “hold on” as she leaves and goes inside to talk to one of her friends. Another worker comes out and asks for the next person in line and so we decided to go to her for help. I told the girl that was helping us how rude the other girl was and she simply brushed me off and rolled her eyes as if my opinion is of no value to anyone. Next, we were asked to wait in a long line on the side to get into our theater. Management decides to rip our tickets at 11:20pm on the dot, of course this is causing everyone to decide to skip others in line. It was chaotic! Children were being knocked down, people were stepping on people, I had others walking into me with their food- it was so unorganized and frustrating. As we are going in there are two women that were ripping tickets in the front of the line and one man who I assumed to be the manager ripping tickets on the side of the line. That was a stupid idea! Because now you have people rushing to the side of the line and those people getting their tickets ripped would essentially have to get their stubbed checked twice cause more CONFUSION and line congestion. I had my ticket ripped on the side by the gentleman and as I proceed to walk in through the ladies I show her my ticket stub and keep walking in an effort to let other’s pass. This lady has the NERVE, the NERVE!!!!!!!!! to yell at me and tell me to “wait like everyone else.” Funny thing is- I DID FOR FORTY- FIVE MINUTES AND ACTUALLY HAD OTHERS SKIP ME IN LINE WHILE I WAITED PATIENTLY. That was my limit!!!! So I voiced my opinion about the horrible management and customer service so the “manager” if you want to call him that- runs up to me (the same guy who ripped my ticket) and asks “what’s my problem” with an ATTITUDE!!!!!!!! I can’t believe this!!!! His name is ALEX ROJAS- as he so proudly told me with a disgusting attitude. The movie was great (fast 6- go see, just not at a Muvico theater)! As we come out the movies there was vomit in front of the door and no one was around to clean it up. I went to use the bathroom the first stall was flooded with diarrhea and the second stall had urine everywhere- at this point I just left! I left disgusted and annoyed with this place! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! I will make sure to tell everyone about this!!!! Muvico- make sure to tell “ALEX ROJOS” and his employers to learn some manners and how to talk and treat people! Customer Service doesn’t cost extra to teach- Next time I will drive the extra mile for the Cobb. Signed, A disgruntled former customer-...
Read moreAs a longtime resident of Hialeah and a local real estate professional, I take pride in supporting community establishments that contribute to the quality of life in our city. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the AMC Hialeah theater to watch The Accountant 2 with my wife left us feeling disappointed and concerned about the condition of this location.
While the staff was courteous and attentive—a positive reflection of the team working there—the facility itself is in urgent need of attention. Upon entering the theater room, we were immediately met with a strong, unpleasant odor of moisture and mold. As we made our way to our seats, we observed broken chairs, likely no longer reclining properly, and a general atmosphere that suggested neglect. The air felt damp, and I couldn’t help but check my seat to ensure it wasn’t wet. My wife also commented on the “funky” smell, and we both spent more time distracted by the discomfort than enjoying the movie.
Shining a flashlight near the floor revealed rusted metal components on the seats, which is not only unsightly but raises concerns about long-term moisture exposure and potential health risks. The carpets appear heavily worn—perhaps decades old—and the decor is clearly outdated, doing little to create a welcoming, modern environment.
This experience was not what we expect from a national brand like AMC. As a real estate agent, I see firsthand how the condition of local amenities like movie theaters impacts community engagement and property values. When residents begin traveling to neighboring cities for entertainment, it’s a sign that local offerings are falling short.
Constructive Suggestions for AMC Management: Immediate Deep Cleaning & Mold Remediation – Addressing any moisture or mold issues is critical not only for comfort but for public health. Seating Overhaul – Replacing broken and rusted seats with modern recliners would enhance comfort and align with current movie-going expectations. Facility Renovation – Updated carpets, fresh paint, and new wall decor would significantly uplift the ambiance. Local Engagement – Hosting community events or offering renovation progress updates can rebuild trust and excitement among local residents.
Hialeah deserves a cinema that reflects the vibrancy of its community. I strongly encourage AMC to invest in revitalizing this location—not only to improve customer satisfaction but to honor the loyalty of patrons who would love nothing more than to enjoy movies...

Ambience - ★☆☆☆☆ The haunting scent of dampness, intertwined with a profoundly unsettling aroma of decay, chokes the air, making each inhalation an act of courageous defiance. The walls, moist and bearing the imprints of long-forgotten maintenance, are silent witnesses to the theater's lamentable decline.
Service - ★★☆☆☆ Amidst this haunting atmosphere, the staff drift like spectres, their eyes reflecting the gloom that shrouds the cinema. The morale, as decayed as the establishment, yields a service experience that is but a mournful whisper of its former self.
Facilities - ★☆☆☆☆ As if ensnared in a haunting narrative, restrooms and common areas amplify the dirge of dilapidation. Each facility, gripped by neglect, bears silent but forceful testament to the unchecked descent of AMC Hialeah into disrepair.
Safety and Respect - ★☆☆☆☆ Within the darkened auditorium, amidst the flickering images cast upon the screen, lurks another unsettling menace. The scent of weed permeates the air, its unwelcome intrusion a stark testament to the erosion of decorum and safety. Patrons, ensnared in a surreal dystopia, are subjected to a theatre experience where the boundaries of respect and legality are callously breached.
Overall Experience - ★☆☆☆☆ The culmination of these deplorable conditions makes an excursion to AMC Hialeah akin to a haunting soiree into a realm where the erstwhile allure of cinema is grotesquely distorted. Each scent of mildew, each stain, each puff of illicit smoke, weaves an elegy of an establishment that once pulsated with life and cinematic magic.
Final Thought
With heavy heart and trepidation, patrons departing from AMC Hialeah carry with them not the enchantment of film, but the haunting echoes of an establishment surrendered to neglect and disregard. Each step away is a poignant retreat from a battlefield where the soul of cinema, elegance, and hospitality lies tragically vanquished.
Recommendation
Prospective visitors be forewarned; here lies a cinematic experience stripped of its majesty, a desolate realm where the art of film is obscured by the encroaching shadows of neglect, disregard, and...
