Taco Shop Hialeah — Restaurant in Hialeah

I recently visited this place and got a great service, so I decided to recommend it to some coworkers. The day I went, I asked to substitute the 3 corn tortillas of the tacos de birria for flour tortillas, which was not a problem. Today, I decided to go again with my wife . She ordered the taco chimichanga platter and I asked again for the tacos de birria on flour tortillas. Only this time, there was a blonde lady listening and whispered something to the girl. Immediately, the girl told me” we can’t do that “. I told her that I had ordered that 2 days ago, and the blonde lady interrupted saying that it couldn’t be done and that I should eat the corn tortillas. I told her that I didn’t like corn and she asked the cook and he seemed to say yes, so I proceeded to pay thinking that they were going to do it. When we sat, the girl came with my wife’s order and didn’t say anything, so I waited a while . In the meantime, I see a big roach crawling on the floor from table to table, so I got up and asked the girl, was my order done or what?,and she said:”no, she said that it couldn’t be done”. So I said: “the last time you took my order and there was no problem “, she said:”yes, but she wasn’t here”I said:“ok, by the way, there’s a big roach under that table” . I went back to the table and told my wife that they didn’t make my tacos, but she could eat because I wasn’t really hungry. She told me that she wasn’t going to eat either. So we left, but after getting to my car, I felt like I had to say something. So I went to the blonde lady and told her that it was ridiculous that they couldn’t substitute the tortillas and that we have dealt with customers for more than 30 years, and ultimately, you have to make customers happy so they keep coming back,especially a mom and pop business. She kept saying there’s nothing I can do and never made an attempt to be polite. I told the other girl, “I’m sorry that you have to deal with this unpleasant and unprofessional person, but I will not be back, and by the way, the roach incident, which I had decided to keep quiet, it’s going to be known now”. Lacks customer service and professionalism. My mom,my sister and I went to this restaurant on 5/29/22 and we were really disappointed with the service. We did go late so they stated they didnt have birria tacos, or al pastor. So my sister ordered beef nachos. As we were waiting for the food at a table to to dine in, the cashier walked up to our table and told us we wouldnt we able to dine in because they were going to be closing soon. So we said ok. Once the food was ready we decided to check the order before leaving to make sure everything was ok, and when we checked the nachos it was made with steak (carne asada) and not the beef that was requested. At first the cashier said they would fix the order, and then came out saying they were not going to ba able to fix the order because it was too late. And the most they could fo is refund me the money. My sister was very upset because she wasnt going to have a meal to eat and left. And i told the cashier i didnt understand how she got the order wrong when beef and steak are 2 different things and she even read back to my sister beef, when she inputed the order. She said beef to her is steak and that thats why she put in the order wrong. I pointed the menu to her and said where you see steak on the menu, you dont see that it says beef next to it. You see that it says carne asada, because steak it carne asada. And told her if it was beef ,it would say beef next to steak which it does not. The cashier kept going back and forth with me instead of apologizing and admitting she must up the order .and at some point mentioned that this is Hialeah like if that excuses her mess up with the order. She should be fired for providing service like this to paying customers. Worst customer service ive ever had. Never...

Loooooove this place! Not sure if it's authentic but I sure know it's good. Everything I have had has been really good e.i. chicken quesadilla, beef nachos, chicken chimichanga (my favorite when fried right, you have to ask them to), flautas (cigar filled with meat), chicken burrito, with a side of Mexican rice and refried beans. That's all I have had so far but I will be coming back for more. Their homemade beverages (passion fruit, tamarind, and horchata) are good but very sweet, they could be a dessert. And once you have ordered, the server will give you a complimentary basket of tortilla chips to start you off and you can choose from there salsa bar from mild salsa, hot salsa, or a spicy vegetable mix with jalapeno carrots and onions. Chipotle has nothing on Taco Shop Hialeah, just a few blocks down. Please check it out for yourself. Whenever my mom and I have a day off with none of our brothers or dad we go to Taco Shop and share a meal, it's great. The decor needs a little work but their food...
