Everyone goes for the batito de trigo. This is effectively a milkshake made with puffed wheat. Older Gringo's may remember Quaker Puffed Wheat but the younger generation remembers Kellogg's Honey Smacks. That cereal is ground up and mixed into cold milk in a blender and then they put a heaping helping of whipped cream on top. I think of that as the cereal and milk that I grew up with as a child, but I never thought to put it in a blender before eating it. My wife who is from Chile remembers having puffed wheat toasted powder sprinkled over the watermelon that she ate every summer. So for me it is memories of Saturday morning cartoons and for her it is memories of being out of school for the summer and having fun with her family. The second dish that most people seem to be struck by is from Islas Canaries. The croquetas are made fresh so the difference between what you get from this restaurant and what you get from a lot of the other Latin American restaurants in town is huge! The other big surprise is that the croissants are made fresh in-house so any of the sandwiches made with a croissant taste so different than when you get them from a lot of other places in town. Today my wife tried a very unique sandwich that was effectively an omelette with chorizo (sausage) inside a 15 inch piece of Cuban bread. It is called the tortilla sandwich because I suppose it is somewhat like a Spanish tortilla. The other thing that makes this restaurant very special are the owners. They are constantly coming out and greeting everyone, and making sure that everybody is being taken care of. They hired a fantastic staff so that's something they never need to...
Read moreSome days you come in when its empty and get excellent customer service. But other days, such as today- Sunday during their brunch hour, it is completely the opposite. Inconsistent customer service. We ordered their special for today which was an omlette which she stated for us to choose the 3 toppings, I choose spinach, ham and cheese. She stated that comes with toast and a coffee. I asked for a side of bacon to be added. We also ordered french toast with fruit on top. She confirmed they have that today. She said 20min before pickup. I asked her whats the cost she said she needs to ring it all up. I waited. And she said $21.83. However come pick up time. I did not receive my side of bacon. We go inside to inquire and she charges my husband for an extra side of bacon stating that it wasn't included.
If it wasnt included, then why did the lady just take our order and ring up that extra side of bacon? Cost of the order was $21.83?? Very disappointing.
And the fenech toast we ordered in the past was large and full of fruit this time it was 2 small slices you can make at home and 1 Strawberry. As well, this order of french toast comes with bacon which they super skimmed us on. Not worth the cost. Too expensive, staff is inconsistent in customer service and overcharges. Never going back. They aim for a good food presentation and service but don't consistently deliver. You're better off going to Mayors Cafe or Bistro Cafe for this price point better service and...

There are places you eat, and then there are places you remember. This one—this glowing little haven—belongs firmly in the latter.
The ambience alone feels like walking into a warmly written stanza—soft light, thoughtful decor, and a hush of comfort that settles over you like an old friend’s coat. Time slows here, in the best possible way.
Then comes the food—ah, the food.
The bocadillo de jamón is not merely a sandwich. It is a crunching hymn, where golden bread gives way to rich, marbled ham that tastes of distant mountains and salt-air dreams. Every bite is a quiet sonnet.
And my custom egg white scramble? A dish often overlooked—here, it was luminous. Fluffy, herb-kissed, and whispering with subtle savor. Simple, but not plain. Honest, but not dull. Like good poetry—it said more than it seemed to.
The coffee, too, deserves a stanza of its own—bold, smooth, and comforting. The kind of cup that reminds you why mornings exist.
But none of this would sing quite as sweetly without the impeccable service from Anny and Angy, who glide through the space like verses—gracious, alert, and imbued with that rare joy of caring deeply about your experience. They don’t just serve—they elevate.
In all, this was not a meal—it was a moment. A place where craft meets warmth, and where, for a little while, the world feels...
