I just had an experience at your High Point, NC store that I will never spend a dime at Staples from now on. I was checking out and your associate, a young female with long dark hair was cashing me out. She was using her personal phone and texting while I was trying to use my credit card. I put my card in the machine and it did nothing. She proceeded to text. After about a minute, I asked if it was going though and without even looking up, she said there is a problem with my card and continued texting. I asked her how long she was going to text and she said she wasn't texting, which I could clearly see her phone screen. I turned and asked another associate who heard me and told him she was texting. At this he started to laugh. I asked to speak with a store manager and had to ask her twice. Someone came over and when I told him what had transpired, he said he would take care of me. I told him how ridiculous it is that his employees are allowed to ignore customers and use their personal phones while working and that I didn't even want the merchandise. Read moreI just wanted to say what an awesome experience I had yesterday afternoon at Staples on Eastchester Drive. I went in with a personalized calendar that I had received earlier in the day as my birthday gift. (The gift wasn't made here) I was greeted by Madison. I asked her if she could possible help save my birthday present with new binding coil. She gave it a once over and with no hesitation said yes I can. She was so nice. She was confident in her ability to help me. I felt that she genuinely wanted to help me that my dilemma mattered. She had such a great customer service based personality. I am a manager myself so I appreciate that kind of service. Stapes is very lucky to have her. It only took her a few minutes to get me all taken care of. The new binding is awesome. Works perfectly. I will be going back to Staples for any of my binding needs or any other needs. Thank you again Madison I will never forget your kindness. Every time I look at my calendar I will remember you. Read moreI would've felt more comfortable being at a stranger's funeral. Yet, the employees on staff seemed to be even less comfortable. No greeting, no seeing if I had questions about the product I was hovering at for three minutes, and when I did go grab one, the most painful silence and movement back
And to top it off on top of that, the stock for the electronics listed did not even match what was in-store. Either that or the employee didn't want to check
I ended up going to the bestbuy over in Greensboro and have a complete 180 of experience. Greeted immediately, multiple employees checking if I needed anything within moments of looking at a product. Actual variety and assistance with the products. And just a general good atmosphere
