It was the most disappointing place I've been to - after almost a year touring US historical sites. The whole thing seems an homage to the sculptor and his son. They also go into the other workers and the 4 presidents featured. There wasn't a single thing about the incredible geology of the mountain, or it's Native history and current relations with the local tribes. Even when I asked rangers, no one knew anything about the geology or Native history. Utterly a waste. I don't recommend going at all - you'll get tons more out of...
