Not a huge museum, About 5 galleries. However the galleries have very well presented exhibits with lots of very detailed and interesting history of the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. The gallery with the small theater had some Extremely detailed and well presented models Of the tanks that attacked Baghdad Admission is free but donations are welcome and can be placed in a clear Box and the lobby.

Worth the Effort. Yes - the museum is on base, but access is not an issue. And the Base Visitor's Center team is BY FAR the most helpful group I've ever dealt with when gaining access to an installation. Now for the museum... GREAT experience and quite a bit packed into a smaller building. Make a visit part of your travel plan.

This is a great museum about the history of 3rd Infantry Division. The displays are engaging and informative. If you have the opportunity for a guided tour with a group I highly recommend it. There is a small gift shop with the usual types of souvenirs. There are water fountains and very clean restrooms.

Only went into the gift shop since the PX only souvenirs pertaining to Savannah. However just at a glancing pass, the facility looked very clean, we did see basically a history of all the Army uniforms. The gift shop has a lot of neat little souvenirs. My favorite being the GA shaped cutting board. Staff is very friendly, & price point for souvenirs are very reasonable az far as standard gift...
