Womble Park Athletic Fields — Attraction in Holly Springs

This field is well-maintained and has to my complete surprise the fake grass or ground cover. I am told although it is colorful, clean and not as messy like fresh grass, it can become slippery after or during rain. I enjoyed watching my nephew and his team members play soccer here two weeks ago. It was really relaxing to watch. The fields are specifically ran and mag are by Holly Springs Parks and Rec, and they are very clean and well kept spaces. It can accommodate three full size soccer fields but it’s usually divided in about 6-8 smaller fields so the younger recreation groups can use it. Some weekend and weeknights, the fields are reserved privately and there is good pick up soccer being played there. Beautiful park for during the week! Gets very busy with Hunt Center track out camps in the afternoons and insane on Saturday as this is the location for town soccer and baseball games.

One of the few park gems that actually have swings! Wish it had a shade structure for hot morning/afternoons but evening, it is semi shaded as the area has trees on that side.
