I literally just left this place. I received a pedicure and gel fill. The owner, Katie, did my nails. Though she is nice, she cut me while filing them at the end and got gel all over my cuticles. When I asked for a refund for my nails, she stated they did not give refunds. They will try and fix the problem. So I asked how do you fix cutting someone? She offered a 20% discount at next service.
I just paid over $130 for this service. I am highly upset and expected more.
Edit: Katie, you are not only unprofessional in your response, but inaccurate. 1. During my pedicure, my sons (who are 1 and 3) sat on my lap or directly next to me while my daughter, who is 5, and neighbor's daughter, who is 7, sat quietly at the front. 2. When I was re-seated for my gel filling, the children were given juice without my consent. This is a huge liability on your business as they could have had an allergy. My children do not typically have juice as it really is not good for young children. 3. My mother was there to supervise the children during the gel fill-in. 4. I only got up once to have my 3 year old son sit next to me after your staff gave him juice without my permission and no longer wanted to sit still, which is understandable since your staff gave him essentially sugar water. At the time I got up you were not working on my nails, it was one of the many breaks you took while doing my nails. 5. You answered the phone 7 times while you were doing my nails and scheduled 5 appointments, I counted. As well as fratinized with your employees or collages in side bar conversations and joked around with other customers. Therefore you were not as attentive on my nails as you claim to be and it had nothing to do with my children. 6. I said ouch 4 times and told you it hurt while you were you filing my nails at the end of the fill-in. 7. It is a fact that YOU can and DID cut my finger with the 1/8 inch emery board you used to file my gel nails. 8. I apologized from start to finish that I had to bring the kids with me to this appointment and explained I had an interview the following day and had no other choice. I also tipped $30 for this inconvenience on top of a $103 over priced service. 9. I did not once raise my voice or yell as you put it at any of the children, I simply gave them direction as needed which is what parents are supposed to do. I think the kids did a phenomenal job listening and staying out of customers and staffs way, especially so prior to being given essentially sugar water by your staff without my consent. I cannot emphasize this enough. 10. I own and operate a business myself and you did not handle this situation well.
This is my third poor experience at this salon. The two other times my technician was "Jon" his real name Giam (probably misspelled). He cut and shapes nails uneven, does not polish neatly and walks away when finished and does not check back up on you or his work. He also scraped a forming blister on my foot right after I informed him where it was and asked him not to scrub there.
The proof is in the picture, you cut me while filing my nails. It is very possible and you did it....
Read moreOMG if I could give zero stars I would. This review is for their wax room, which was truly disgusting and unprofessional.
They were so unprepared even though I had an appointment. The waxing table was disgusting, there were crumbs, debris, unidentified black specks and someone else’s hair on the table. I was here to get my arms done, I do not know how anyone would have a wax on this table that required the removal of clothing or skin contact with this table 😷
When I sat down to have my arms waxed they did not have the strips ready. The lady had to grab a Walmart grocery bag with a roll full of fabric still with the tag on it and proceeded to cut the strips as I’m sitting there waiting, mind you I had an appointment!! It’s not like I dropped in. I wish this was there this ended.
This person clearly had never waxed before -at times she would pull the fabric excruciatingly slow, leaving the entire wax on my arm and lifting the empty fabric. Then she spilled the wax all over the table as she was applying it, missing my brand new jeans by just a centimeter. I REALLY would have been better off doing this at home. I also REALLY wish this was where this story ended.
By now she had started the second forearm and I vowed never to get a wax here again. As I’m pondering how I should have left immediately after I arrived, my eyes are wandering the dirty room, and I see what cannot be real, almost like a joke. It’s a roach crawling on the wall!!!! Mere feet from me, spreading its wings to see if it can fly!!
People, this was NOT a Palmetto Bug/Water bug as the locals like to call it. No. This was an actual, real, German Cockroach!! The small kind, the infestation kind, the kind you find in nasty apartments and unclean/unhygienic places. It made its way up the wall, on the ceiling, and then FELL DOWN onto the pile of stuff (because they just had pile of random stuff in trash bags in the room, naturally)
The session promptly ended here. I was done. I took my crazy looking half-waxed arms and got tf out of there.
This experience has been truly unsettling and has shaken me to my core. It’s baffling to me because I’ve had my nails done here before, and they provided what seemed to be a upscale experience, but the wax room in the back is a different story. I now see this place for what it is and will never be returning here for any services ever again.
If you still insist on coming back here to sip on their coffee/tea/wine while you get your nails done, the one piece of advice I can give you is DON’T SET YOUR STUFF DOWN, lest you want to risk bringing back roaches with you in your purse or jacket.
I hope in sharing my trauma that I can spare others. Have a...
Read moreMy daughter michelle left a review expressing her disappointment with this salon. The owner then responded with a lot of untrue statements saying that we changed our services and arrived late. Let me just clarify that I made this appointment WITH THE OWNER, 3 MONTHS prior to this appointment. I specified that the bride would have tips and a pedi and the rest of us would have regular manicures and pedicures. I requested a group discount since it was a bridal party of 6 people and I was given a 10% discount. Three days before our appointment I called to confirm. Turns out we were NOT on the books and there was no appointment. Of course I was very concerned because the day of the appointment was the same day as our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and we all live four hours away. I was concerned about finding another place that could take us on such short notice. Well, they assured me that they could still take us and that we should come. So we did. ON TIME, all six of us. But clearly they were not prepared for us, they did not have enough free technicians because other people came in that had appointments and were taken before us. They put three of us at the pedicure chairs and put our feet in water but no techs came to do the pedicures for over 45 minutes with the water growing cold. Meanwhile, myself and the maid of honor were not served for 50 minutes and it was only because I told them we needed to be done by 3:00 to leave for the rehearsal. The appointment was at 1:30! It was a very unprofessional experience and clearly they told us to come even though they could not accommodate us because they were booked with other appointments. What was supposed to be a happy, relaxing experience to start off our wedding weekend turned out to be a stressful, unhappy experience. And to top it off, the quality of the manicures and pedicures were barely acceptable. The owner DID remember making the appointment with me three months ago, so she should have done all she could to rearrange her appointments and technicians to accommodate our party to honor the appointment made so far in advance. Instead they tried to fit us in, in-between other appointments. Very...
