Harry Berry Park — Attraction in Hollywood

The playground area is still closed, but the restrooms and the park are open for cyclists and runners and anyone who wants to walk around, always keeping the safe distance restrictions. The beach is also open and not crowded, plus there is a lifeguard. The only downside is the seaweed. It is out of control, the beach is absolutely horrendous because of it, so I don't recommend it now, especially if you have kids. The sea was wavy and dark, so sand gets everywhere. Not fun. I am hoping this is just a seasonal nuisance and it will be gone by July or August. If you don't mind it, then by all means. I have a suggestion for Hallandale Beach authorities: please, get a small bulldozer and take away the seaweed. Every hour or so, a small dozer can sweep and make the sand clean. I have been to Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and all of these countries have teams clearing out seaweed from their beaches. The beaches there look spotless thanks to this. Miami's beaches are a tourist attraction and people come here to enjoy our sparkly water and warm sun. Let's give them an awesome time! Great parking, fine sand and nice waves keep me coming back to this spot though it's an hour away from home. Definitely recommended. The boardwalk is great and has many shops from which you can rent skates, kangoo shoes, bicycles, among other things. There are also plenty of restaurants and places to eat good food (like Istanbul or Sahara (?)). There's usually, if not always, a good environment, be careful with the bike lane of course. This was a nice quaint beachfront park in the city of Hollywood. I was here in the early morning so parking was ample. There were a number of walkers and cyclists using the walkway. The crossover was clear and wasn't covered in sand like I see in a lot of places. The beach was clean and wasn't overcrowded. This is a nice place to come during the week for sure.
