Our family wanted to share our unbelievably wonderful experience at Kaimea Estates and the kind and loving family and staff. Our daughter was to be married in Lahaina on August 11. We all had arrived in Maui two days before the planned wedding, which was also the same day of the horrific fires in Lahaina. We all rerouted to Oahu and quickly tried to plan a new wedding in 2 days. Our wedding planner (ABC Weddings) found availability at Kaimea Estates. The owner, Justin, told us that when he got the call about our daughter and our hope to still hold a wedding, he contacted his staff and said we need to help this family and host this wedding.
The property is absolutely beautiful. The house where my daughter dressed was exquisite and the grounds for the wedding, cocktails and yard games were gorgeous and perfect. In the short 2 days to plan the wedding, they had the bride and groom's signature drinks and also a shaved ice station with fresh fruit from their trees on the property! They also provided transportation to and from the hotel to the venue which was so great!
But most of all we want to share the love that we felt from everyone at Kaimea Estates. We thanked Justin and his wife for helping us put together our daughter's wedding in less than 2 days and he said "It's a blessing to be a blessing." We absolutely felt so loved. Thank you so much for making our daughter's wedding the most beautiful day for her and for us. And thank you for everything you did in the 2 short days. We are forever grateful for your love and hospitality! The...
Read moreBeautiful venue, horrible organization and management. ALOT of things went wrong on my wedding day, which was caused mostly by the owners. My wedding planner had to deal with the issues and I can’t imagine how worse it could have gone if my wedding planner was incompetent. But luckily, my wedding planner Sunny Cho handled things gracefully. It was bad enough that I had to debrief with my friends and family, which they all complained about the owners in unison. I have a long list of issues which saddens me that they took away ALOT from my experience. Not sure if it’s worth the money to book this venue. Overall, I only recommend this venue if you care only about aesthetic photos.
In response to the owner:
It’s interesting that there’s a list of rules that were broken but never communicated. Again, poor communication and emphasizing the low effort on holding accountability. If so, please kindly share it with me or my planner so we have some type of understanding. If the contract was broken, why was it not mentioned to my planner but instead handled publicly? Instead of handling things professionally, threatening to cut ties with my planner should also be discussed highly to demonstrate how un-professional and immature Kaimea is. I’m positive this isn’t the first time you guys have experienced this as multiple brides have come forward complaining to me, but I will gladly share the input where it’s needed.
I'm lowering the review to 1 star for witnessing how this is handled so...

The entire team at Kaimea Estates went above and beyond to ensure our special day was everything we had dreamed of and more. They thought of every detail, including things we hadn’t even considered, making the planning process seamless and stress-free. Their attentiveness and dedication were evident in every aspect.
The music selection throughout the event was perfect, enhancing the atmosphere and truly fitting the occasion. We are incredibly grateful for the effort and care that Justin, Mirasol, and their team put into making our day unforgettable.
