My family always enjoys visiting Kamanele Park, although we call it Parakeet Park since so many of the green birds hang out there.
This is one of the few public parks around that has swings. If you're into plants and nature in general, there is a lot to be studied here.
The parking can be a challenge at certain times , since Mid Pacific Institute is located at the end of the street, and street parking (the only parking available) is prohibited when students are going to school and being dismissed. That's only a short period of time, though.
At the time that this review was written , we had visited Kamanele earlier in the day. We found that one of the swings was broken and a plank from one of the benched was broken as well. Hopefully those can be repaired soon. Also, perhaps something can be done about the ground under the swings. It gets so muddy, slippery, and dangerous for the children when wet.

It was muddy under the swings so next time will be better prepared for that too...even though it has been rainy I just didn't think about it...which in my mind is no deterant from the park. Still...
