SUPERCUTS — Attraction in Honolulu

2025 Update: Lowering my rating because my experience at this location has been consistently getting worse. The attitude of some of the stylists is weird. The one that I had (MJ) made some weird comments when I told her how I wanted my hair cut, then afterwards she said that she didn’t cut it the way that I asked and instead cut it the way she thought would look good. Like what the heck? This is Supercuts, why are you taking creative liberties? I just want a haircut in my usual style. Moving on, the app now works most of the time, but it doesn’t mean anything anyway. On my most recent visit, I walked in at the same time as another customer who had a reservation time 10 minutes after my reservation slot…and they seated the other customer first while I had to wait for 15 minutes. How do you figure? They stopped giving out coupons and instead implemented a loyalty system. Also, the base rate for a haircut is now $31…insane. I’ll probably try to brave the crowds at A’s from now on.

Booked online where it appeared there were several hairstylists available. When I arrived, there was only 1 person and she was surprised why 3 people were booked at 6pm, at the same time. I had a regular men's haircut. She decided to use a #2 clipper without asking or validating my opinion or preference. After going through the sides and back using just the clipper, she answered the phone and spent 5 minutes talking. When she returned to do my hair, she went through lining up the edges. However, she never bothered to double check the totality of the haircut--to ensure nothing else needed an extra trim, or whether both sides and back are evened out. She let me off the chair telling me that the haircut was done. She spent approximately 5 minutes total to cut my hair when I can clearly see that one sideburn is higher than the other. I got a haircut a few weeks ago. The woman never saw curly hair before. The layers are so bad it looks like I got into a fight with a weed whacker. I should have known when I sat down and she did not even ask ne where I parted my hair to just get up and leave. I did not realize how bad it was until I did a kertain treatment and straightened my hair. Holy moly I am not sure that womnab had a license to cut hair. The whole experience was terrible. I told her i wanted an angeled bob with long layers ..she cut the hair then told me she was done, i reminded her i wanted layers so she put the cape back on. I should have not asked for the layers. My hair is multuple lengths now. Too short to fix. I am kind of stuck. Then you can't even email corporate. If you have curly hair DO NOT GO HERE. i have been to many supercuts and had great service.
