I visited Office Depot to print pages from a presentation, but my experience was unfortunately very disappointing due to the behavior of a supervisor in that department.
When I first arrived, I encountered a staff member who was quite rude and confrontational. Despite asking simple questions, she was abrasive and seemed reluctant to provide assistance. When I mentioned my laptop was dead, she informed me that there were no available outlets for me to use, suggesting I would need to leave. Accepting that as policy, I left but returned later to attempt to print my slides.
During my second visit, her demeanor had not improved; she continued to be unhelpful and confrontational. I requested to speak with a general manager, but she made that process unnecessarily difficult, requiring me to ask multiple times before I could connect with someone.
Once I finally spoke with the general manager, who I believe is named Van, the situation was resolved quickly and efficiently. He was understanding and helped me accomplish my printing needs.
While I appreciate the assistance from the general manager, my initial experience with the supervisor was very negative. I hope that steps can be taken to address this behavior, as it reflects poorly on the store and can affect the morale of other employees. Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreI went in for 50 simple business cards. I ordered the same day pick up business cards Thursday a little after 2pm . Now I know that if I order after 2pm then they roll over to the next business day. I was fine with this and so I planned to pick them up Friday (yesterday) I arrived a little before 7pm. They were not ready. I was told “we just haven’t gotten to them”. When I asked why (and I only asked because I did not understand and I was genuinely confused ) I was made to feel that me expecting them to be ready the day after I ordered them was very entitled of me. I stood close to the counter because they told me it would only take a few minutes. And from there I could hear both employees speak about how rude I was and that I can just expect things to be ready whenever I want. I ordered the day before and was picking up near the end of the day, In my opinion I gave ample time. The two employees continued to be super rude and tried to explain to me that because I ordered after 2pm on Thursday they aren’t just going to be ready on Friday (the next day). Read moreMost of the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Due to the fact that I live close to the store I'm there frequently. Recently I was looking at laptops and had some questions. There were 2 young employees having a conversation 10 feet away. One of them glanced my way several times and made eye contact yet carried on with his conversation. Finally I walked over, stood there while their conversation continued, and interrupted them to ask for help. The young man that ended up helping by answering questions I had made it feel like it was a bother to him. Little did he know I was prepared to make a purchase. That did not happen. Because of his condescending attitude and lack of desire to "help" a customer the store lost a sale.
