Yep...Go here! @fitnfatty TL;DR -The brisket- juicy, fluffy, slight burnt end fatty. Soo good. The sauce combination on the presentation was mouthful watering. -Pimento Cheese/ pepper jelly pork rinds, you could hear the popping from the freshness. Warm and crunchy. The jelly cheese combo though counterintuitive, hit the taste buds so well! -Pulled pork- juicy meat with fresh pickles. Tasted great while hot, but honestly had it the next morning from hotel fridge and it made my day. -QR code for free mini banana bread pudding. Huge chunks, just the right sweetness. ------ I'm a traveling foodie and love trying new places. The easy stuff first. Clean and welcoming atmosphere, check. I did bar seating and Stacey the bartender instantly made me feel at home. Courteous, asked me for a drink order and some quick recco's on food options. Made me feel at ease with light topics that felt so organic, while being professional and attentive. 5 stars. Jimmy one of the owners was there and spent a few minutes chatting about some overheard commonalities we had. Great demeanor and full of passion about this BBQ craft and mission. I hope these folks the best, def felt like a homie place with great food. Check it out.

Has a couple minor rough edges, but overall, it's a good place to eat. Here's the rub: -My food wasn't as warm/hot as I felt it needed to be (it was lukewarm). -The waitress seemed to be in a constant rush, even though the restaurant wasn't that full. In doing so, she failed to hear me request my beer be brought out with my food. They tried to save it though, and put it in the fridge to keep it cold (it wasn't as crispy as it was originally; I noticed). I drank it anyway. -The sauce on the tables: it's SUPER THIN. Like TOO thin. Seriously thin - like water. But it tastes good. -1,000 Island dressing is NOT what you should serve as a dipping sauce for fried okra, fried green tomatoes, etc. -Shop towels. Tell me I'm not the only person who thinks they smell like chemicals. There's a reason they don't sell them in the paper towel section at Walmart. Regular paper towels are okay, I promise. Food tastes good, definitely eat here. I suggest the Pork and Greens (tastes great, even at cooler temperatures), and the fried okra. The fried green tomatoes are meh.

Went out to eat with my family yesterday. Food was horrible. Also almost swallowed a STAPLE. That’s right you read that correctly, A STAPLE WAS IN MY FOOD. I was dipping my French fries in ranch and ate a couple that were fine. While eating them I took a bite and noticed a hard crunch in between my back teeth. I spit out my food and realized I had just almost ingested a sharp staple. I know this sounds absolutely insane and I would’ve never thought something like that could get in my food. But nonetheless it did. I told our waitress (who was good) and she swiftly went and got her manager. All I got from the manager when he came over to our table was a “sorry, do you want me to switch it for something else”? EXCUSE ME? I just almost swallowed a sharp staple and all you say is sorry? The manager 100% did not care at all. So I guess if you want to risk swallowing a staple feel free to eat at this over priced place. We will never be back! 2 terrible meals and almost eating a staple cost us $60. I would not recommend eating here.

OK, NOOOOOOOW I see why Saw's BBQ is called some of the best in AL. It took me 6 yrs to give the chain another try after the completely disgusting experience I had at the one in Glen Iris/5 Pts South back in 2017. It was my first experience at one and I swore I'd never go back....until yesterday.

By chance, I had to get a new laptop charger for work next door at Best Buy and smelled a heavenly scent as I came out (it was nearly 4PM and I hadn't had a proper lunch. I stopped in to get my food to go and the staff was so friendly and professional, the place was clean (save for a few dishes from a table that had just left), the seating was spacious, the gin and tonic I got was well-made, and the food.....THE FOOD.

I got a plate with thighs, pulled pork, sweet potato fries, and deviled eggs. My goodness, that food. I'd always heard about endless pasta at Olive Garden and how gluttons would literally eat until they threw up at the table and order more. Mind you, there was no purging, but the whole meal was so amazing, what I'd normally save for a second meal was gone in 20 mins. It was devoured with a quickness and I have no regrets. 🤣

Chain or not, this place is pretty stellar and if my waistline could afford it, I'd eat here everyday. Great comeback from the huge letdown that was the Bham...

We have eaten Saw's Avondale and Homewood locations and loved it, unfortunately we decided to try the Hoover location tonight for dinner and it was horrible!! The quality of the food wasn't good at all! I ordered the pulled pork plate with baked beans and potato salad. The baked beans came cold, dry and mushy. The potato salad was bland and tasteless! The pulled pork looked like it had be cooked in a crockpot and was cold as well!... I told our server about the issues with my food, the plate was full still as I hadn't took more then 3-4 small bites, all that was offered was a $5 discount! I sat with a empty glass and never offered a refill even after I sat the empty glass in front of her! My husband ordered the loaded pork baked potato, normally the potatoes are jumbo but it was small compared to the potatoes he normally gets at the other locations and it was just okay he said but he did eat half of it.

Thank goodness Chicken Salad Chick was right next door because that's where I got my dinner after we paid for my horrible plate of uneaten food at Saw's! It really sucks to have to pay for dinner twice because of horrible food!

Needless to say if you want good food visit the Avondale or Homewood locations because the Hoover...
