If on a road trip through I-30, this is a great little stop for the mid-20th century historical birthplace home of Bill Clinton. I have been to many presidential homes, within state and national park systems, and this one is well done and an interesting somewhat more modern take on the historical home tour. You get a slice of a mid-20th century working class home that is actually quite interesting. The guide was very interested in the subject matter and quite interactive. The visitor center and grounds were a little lacking in volume of material to cover, but all in all, this is a great National Historic Site. The location is quite close to I-30 and made for a nice pit stop in the town of Hope.

The history and novelty of this NHS is pure, but it's not the easiest one to find. The signage around isn't as prevalent as at other sites which makes finding the parking lot more of a challenge than expected. The house and visitors center are quaint and charming. The visitor center is also an historic home. That said, I was concerned with the structural stability of the home and was nervous while on the guided tour. Without restoration, I will be surprised to see this park around in a decade. So, come! Visit! Experience! And donate while you're there!

This is the second time that I have been here. The first time was about eight years ago. The birth housr needs some work as there seems to be wood rot on the outside. The house is filled with items from the forties and fifties but only one that was original to Clinton. The rangers seem to be very helpfull with great information. There is a small gift shop and great parking behind the house This site is free to enter.

The rangers here are very welcoming and friendly. It's neat to see the home President Clinton spent the first 4 years of his life. However, nothing in the home is original. Clinton's mother did help with the restoration process of telling them where furniture was and what not. There are pictures through out the home of a young Clinton. It's a quick 15-20 minute tour on every hour and half hour. There's a small visitor center with information. Be sure to check out the video of the home before the renovation was started. There's bathrooms outside and a picnic table. There's a small garden to spend a couple minutes in.
